Well, that’s nice, but it doesn’t help us does it? I recall from school, one populist claiming that, with regards to the Soviet Union, if you kick the door in, the whole house will fall down. Didn’t go according to his expectations, but they kept going believing in their own ideology. That is...

I think he is referring to the growth we would have had had we not slowed in comparison to other countries because of Brexit uncertainty. Other countries don’t have the additional problems of extra border controls, creating new agencies with thousands of civil servants, replacing hundreds of...

That’s Carney‘s job. He is not a politician or following an ideology. If he sees us driving into a brick wall, he has to react. Back to brick walls... Mogg‘s mate said on TV that ideologies are very important in politics when defending the way Brexit is heading. No one has come with a solution...

Dual nationality. Allowed in Germany, but not in Holland ( for Brits at least). A piece of paper protects my legal rights, but doesn’t do anything physically to me.

His own voice is the Nazi undertone. He aims at a religion and race and constantly seeks to highlight any badness done by members of this group. He frightens people and tells them that he is the gutsy one sticking up for them. "They" are the problem. Us and them. It has been done before. TR...

Actually, most of what I read was about saluting „Sieg heil“, and people on Twitter conveniently leaving out the „gas the Jews“ bit, which I think is worse, as it takes it from a bad joke to joking about the murder of a specific group based on race and/ or religion.

And: Staying in EU customs union into next decade likely to be 'only viable option', pro-Brexit Tory MPs agree Note the bit about Brits in the EU at the foot of the article. I have to pick up my German nationalisation certificate which is waiting for me. Then, at least, I know where I stand...

Why? If he through his actions, gives the accused the right to claim the trial was unfair because of prejudging and people being wound up, he will not be helping the prosecution‘s case. I want the perpetrators tried and punished as hard as possible. Trying to turn it into an anti Muslim event...

Nothing to do with free speech though. He broke the terms of his probation and that caused him to be locked up. He was disrupting a trial. The people being tried are scum, but the legal system has to take it’s course. If he wasn’t a known criminal with a suspended sentence, he would still be...

Couldn’t be farther away. I live no where near Bavaria. I am there every year though for a couple of weeks and used to spend a lot of time in München in the 80s.

They make news for the disgusting things they say and get rebuked for. Appeals to their base, but revolts the rest. Making news is not a measure of political power.

„Brexit Boom“ gets pulled out every now and then by the „Express“. Latest was when the pound got stronger. Only a blip because of speculation about interest rates. The true effect of Brexit will be felt after we know whether we are leaving with no deal or not.

No I didn’t. I made Farage out to be constantly in the news. Which he is. UKIP also caused more damage to the Conservative party and BNP which got the Tories into a panic that may lose more votes and the BNP seems to have been swept away. Result was a referendum which has split the country and...

Yes. It is. But, they are no way going to take power in Germany. So, I am irritated that they exist, but they are, as you say, a minority. They are also regional. We don’t like them here.
