    Our Form

It’s a cliché, but perhaps Cov and Robins were the perfect fit for each other, and Robins/Viveash were the perfect team, along with Lawrence. And working under the constraints of managing City suited his stubborn, dogged personality. A backs against the wall, siege mentality. Very few people...

    Our Form

I’m a big MR fan and was devastated when he was sacked. But looking at it dispassinnately now, I think Robins would have struggled to turn things round. Too much seems to have happened behind the scenes, and it was looking tough for him.

Is he the chap who was doing his biscuit at Norwich?

    Blackburn Player Ratings

I thought Rudoni was very good last night. I was in the Riverside stand behind him as he played along the left touchline. He looked so confident on receiving the ball, and was a constant danger. Didn’t quite find the right final ball when reaching the touchline, but I thought he looked a class...

    Blackburn Player Ratings

On the basis that they’re going to give it to a home player, I think he was their best on the night. He was a bit of a handful, particularly in the air (he won most duals in the air, and set up some dangerous monents). He was no slouch on the ground either. I thought he was decent.

    Referee

I thought the ref last night was very generous to us. Blackburn fans around me were going mad. I think we did as fair bit of pulling back which on another day would have resulted in yellows. He also didn’t seem to bother in hurrying Dovin at all. So all good for us, but can see why they were...

Yep, some decent signings there, thanks all for reminding me!

‘Surely lampard didn’t come here with no money to spend in January’

Just out of interest, because I don’t know the answer, have we ever, over the last few years made any decent signings/loans in the January window? I do remember what Mowbray brought in…….

    Mike Ashley rumours

Yeh, but that’s the entitled Geordies for you. They weren’t winning the Champions League every season so Ashley was no good. In reality a lot of money was pumped into the club under Ashley, he made mistakes (Joe Kinnear) but there were/are a hell of a lot of worse owners out there.

    Dennis Law RIP

Yep, absolutely right. My Grandad, a Mackem from South Shields took me to the Sunderland game, and then queued a couple of days later for tickets for the Man U game. What a night, as you say, broken down gates, the attendance thought to be nearer 50,000. A privilege to be at those games, eh?

    Dennis Law RIP

My second ever Cov game, v Man U Quarter Final FA Cup 1963. Denis Law played, Bobby Charlton scored two, Albert Quixall the third. Attendance 44,000. A great goal scorer. RIP Denis Law.

    Transfer Rumour BTA to Blackburn

An article from FL World saying Blackburn have bid £1.75 mil for the forward. Not sure how accurate they are. What did we pay for him? If we get our money back is it worth it to help with the rebuild? Meant to put a question mark at the end of the thread heading!😡

Well I think it was a big penalty and one worth celebrating. Certainly made me happy - good on him!

Well he does look to be single minded in wanting to succeed, similar to how Vik was.
