    PONTICELLI

Pretty stupid way of measuring ‘success’... you’ve picked players who have gone on to play at premiership level. We’ve not been a prem side in a generation. We’ve had a conveyor belt of young talent coming out of the club. By definition, the purpose of an academy is to produce first team...

    Lee Burge

Yeah, and our goalkeeper weren't at fault for either goal, and the notion he could've done better is a pretty dumb one. Why? Because the defence allowed 2 free chances in the box. You seem hangry, have a snickers bar...

Speaking of 'keeping errors, how did Nazon score that goal? At his near post too... Free headers, more often than not, should end in a goal. Even if he 'could have done better', you're apportioning the blame on the wrong guy. Both Willis and McDonald didn't mark up and McDonald looked lost for...

    Vincenti

Minus his goal, and two assists, you might be right...

    Vincenti

The criticism of Vincenti is very unfair, which I think is rooted in the idea that he doesn't fit the archetypal 'pacey' winger. He got a great assist v Cambridge making him joint top in assists with Kelly, and got a goal the game before. When I look at highlights, he's involved in a positive...

    Video Highlights | Cambridge U 2-1 Coventry

For the first goal McDonald was in no-man's land. He and Willis completely caught out. Shame Davies pulled out with illness as deserved a run in the team. I still rate McDonald massively though.

Weren't at the game so can't comment much. Glad Duckens got a goal, 2 in 2 starts so proving to be a good goal scorer atm. I'm really concerned when we concede first, every time we've done so, we've lost. That needs to be addressed. Ideally, I'd like us to get a big comeback win vs Exeter.

It's in October, I think Thomas and McNulty will be back by then... If it was next week it'd screw us over!

5-1 v Liverpool then 3-0 v Villa... I'd happily take the trouncing off Man U to witness that!

First Ever Cov Match You Saw ?

Thank you! To this day I didn't know Ajax scored a 3rd! Whoever took me to games always brought me back early to 'beat the rush'... ... I remember one vs Cardiff with JSB's, my mum came and picked me up after 60-odd minutes because they had a bad reputation. In fairness, she spared me the last...

First Ever Cov Match You Saw ?

If anyone could find this I'd be greatly apprecitive... My first game was, I think, a preseason friendly in the late 90s against Ajax and we lost 2-1 think. I don't remember much of it because I was a small kid, and I've tried to find it on google but couldn't and I'm a bit worried I've got...

Talk about turning a club into a profiteering company using amoral tactics, such as uprooting a club from its home town and damaging local sports teams such as Cov RFC... Want to kick us out of our academy and maybe stadium, which looks increasingly likely they can't really afford either. Wasps...

I could see it being a draw, but I'd like us to get a solid win streak going now, a 5-6 win streak off the back of our skid will put us in good stead.

I mean, he was decent back in the early naughties, getting the best out of Michael Owen... that was my point, albeit clumsily put!

    Our defence

Portsmouth's and Plymouth's top scorers amassed 13 and 15 goals respectively. Both midfielders too. We already have Jones on 4 in 7... At the rate we're conceding goals, we don't need to score many at all...

    Our defence

The timing of the goal v Newport was perfect for them. Start of 2nd half allowed them to consolidate and put 10 men behind the ball making it more difficult to break them down. No mistake, it's game where we could have maybe have nicked it. That's football for you. Yeovil is less clear cut...

I think we'll get another clean sheet, and a 1-0 to make it a hat-trick of wins. Same set up as Tuesday, and I fancy one of Jones or Nazon to get the goal, or maybe a new goalscorer.
