Portsmouth Trust taking over the club

They probably won't tell you. From what is being reported unless you make your pledge you don't even get to see the prospectus with all the details in! There is a little detail in the local rag down here today. Couple of things that caught my eye. They are now once again referring to people...

    Portsmouth- what on earth

They think they will get let off. The basis for this is that the 10 points are taken off for coming out of admin with a CVA that wasn't agreed by all parties owed money. They are now claiming that although PKF (the administrators) arranged the CVA they were acting on behalf of Chanrai, the...

    Portsmouth- what on earth

PKF even managed to make a mess of this and that's one of the things that Chanrai is now looking to dispute with a legal challenge. Chanrai's bid was made preferred then PKF suddenly switched it - you have to say looking from the outside it doesn't look good. Surely if someone is made preferred...

    Portsmouth- what on earth

the 10 points is for coming out of admin with a CVA that wasn't voted on by all those who were owed money. the people owed from the last CVA (who have not had a penny) got no say in the CVA that is currently agreed for the next exit from admin. the next deadline would appear to be February when...

    Portsmouth- what on earth

in his post match comments last night he said he knew nothing about the Blackpool job, hadn't been contacted etc etc. this morning he was off up there 'to visit family' and tonight he's their new manager. They must have seen him driving him in to town and decided to offer him the job on the...

    1998-2005 boardroom controversy and tales

My head hurts! Has anyone got a total figure for the cost of the whole project and who put what into it or is that too simple?

Mark Robins asks City Fans to be patient

I've heard a couple of people near seriously talking about why Robbins should go, doesn't take long does it!

    Collins Celebration

This is the key point to me, celebrate all you want but no need to race over and do it in front of our supporters. That sort of behaviour could get him in trouble for inciting the crowd. He also made another gesture towards our end just before the game kicked off again as his name was read out...

    Robins: Not happy with tactics

it makes a nice change from "i don't know what the problem is" or "they aren't doing what I'm telling them"

Apparentl Joy threatens liquidation if half stadium is vetoed

I would guess that the process would be that SISU would agree a deal with Higgs as it's their half they're looking to purchase. The council then has a veto over any change in ownership so they would have a vote on that basis.

    Trouble in Swindon

saw some trouble starting up by a burger van as I was driving away from the ground. prob about 10-15 people but couldn't tell who was Swindon and who was Cov. Can't imagine it came to much as the police were on the scene pretty swiftly.

    Coventry vs York Match Thread

should we read anything into Kilbane not getting a mention in the injury update and also not being in the side or even on the bench.

    Kevin Kilbane on Talksport

have to say that was my first thought. will this be an injury that keeps him out for months I wonder?

    Is Stuart Linnell correct?

I've always had an issue with the notion that if SISU hadn't come in when they did we wouldn't exist. For a start it was a self imposed deadline and the reason it seemed to be put in place was to force Robinson to take less than he wanted. Worse case scenario would have been going into admin...

Opinion of Robins from a Barnsley fan

I would take stabalising right now. We're in free fall so pretty much anything has to be an improvement.

    Betting halted

There's nothing in the local paper here about Appleton going and none of the Pompey fans I know have heard anything about it apart from what I've told them! Not sure that he is on a month to month contract. All the players are as they are all new signings and can't sign for longer than that as...

    Coventry City, Highfield Road

if we're in fantasy land the best bet for a city centre ground would prob be to develop the Butts. I think there's only 1 stand that holds 4K, if you built up the other 3 sides you should be able to get a 10-15K ground. Could plan in a similar way to Brighton so that as and when needed it's easy...

    Morning After...

I've stopped saying that as it never does get any better. Sure we all thought after last season it can't get any worse and here we are in the relegation places. I hate this league and I hate having so many midweek matches. If we just played Saturdays at least it would only be the weekend that...

    Coventry City, Highfield Road

The theory was (which sounded quote good at the time) that Highfield Road only generated revenue on matchday and was pretty much empty every other day of the year. The idea was to move to a new ground with hotels, conference centre etc which would generate money for the club. At one point I...
