Is there anyway they can put one of the companies associated with CCFC into admin or liquidation and get rid of the lease that way? Assuming the lease is tied to whatever company is actually CCFC (as in the football club itself) so long as the league would transfer the golden share then could...

there's loads of temporary seating that has been warehoused unused since the olympics. Wouldn't be that difficult (assuming there's space, I've just had a quick look on Google Maps never been there!) to bring the Butts up to 10-12K or were SISU agree to develop it to that capacity permanently...

    Sky Blue Trust Fighting Fund

Has anyone from the Trust approached local solicitors, accounts etc. i would be surprised if there was a few who were City fans who would offer there services for free / vastly reduced. Would be great publicity for them should they ever be needed.

ACL keep telling us that CCFC is a fraction of it's business and that they can survive without them. If that's true then they should be able to survive quite happily with the rent SISU are proposing. Whack a premium on so that if we were ever get into the premiership (wishful thinking!) they get...

If we go with ACL being in some sort of financial trouble (which I appreciate may or may not be true) what are the implications of this? They own the lease but not the freehold don't they? In a worse case scenario where they go into admin do the council become liable for the debt or does only a...

I would imagine there is a legal process they have to go through but they could start that process and then potential lock the club out. Would another option be for ACL to push the club into administration? The issue could be that the options open to ACL would impact more on CCFC than SISU and...

There's not a great deal of new information here though is there? I guess the CET has run a story after the comments on CWR last week. We know SISU aren't paying rent and as such it's only a matter of time before ACL have to take some sort of action, surprised they've waited this long to be...

    Pompey match predictions

Pompey are in their worst run for decades, have a real struggle to score and can't defend to save their lives. We need to come out firing on all cylinders, early goal and we could easily get 3 or more. Hopefully a decent crowd who will get behind them rather than have a go at the first mistake...

    Football League: Loan deadline day.

can see more going out than coming in. Robbins has made a fair number of changes already. for me the key now is what happens in January. Who can we keep hold of and of those that go can we get decent replacements in. would be horrible if we can keep the decent form up till January and then...

    Portsmouth- what on earth

Todays nuggets of information that the locals have slipped out: The property developer involved is a Spurs fan who has never been to a Pompey game yet is supposedly not in it to benefit for himself The budget is based on staying in L1 and crowds of 12,000 (less than 10,000 there last night)...

    JPT or FA CUP?

based purely on the fact that I've realised I'm in New York when it's the JPT final I'll say FA Cup.

    Colchester ground..?

This has got to be a wind up. Surely if you went past at football ground while looking for a football ground you might put 2 + 2 together and at least stop and ask someone.

    Portsmouth on Saturday

They've only sold 400, not sure how many more they will sell before Saturday given the run they're on!

COLCHESTER MATCH THREAD - let's go

we need to hold on psychologically as much as anything. need to stop dropping points after going in front and after Crawley if they can hold on today maybe they won't panic so much in future.

    Portsmouth- what on earth

‘More than 2,000’ pompey fans have paid the initial deposit, £100, but now they need them to come through with the other £900. Those that don’t get the £100 back so paying the deposit is no guarantee that they’ll pay the whole lot. Shares can’t be sold or transferred so basically you’re making a...

    Portsmouth- what on earth

The loan from a council is a non starter I think. It was only talked about around election time and required the Prem / FL to guarantee re-payment from parachute payments (Pompey get them till 2014!) which they won’t do. It also requires PST to be the only bidder and that’s not the case...

Who else is jealous of Pompey

They went into admin in 98 as well so this is the third time. Of course noone wants to see a football club fold and it's great what the fans are doing now but I can't help thinking they have got off very very lightly for going into admin 3 times. From memory the first time they got no points...

Portsmouth Trust taking over the club

Wouldn't have thought so. Think they have £8m due which is being held back by the league to make the payouts agreed to the players who left at the end of last season. They're also using that money (so they're already counting it twice!) to pay the administrators costs of around £2.5m
