World class stadium worth £1 million?

Of course if the implication is that Wasps have purchased the stadium on the cheap it makes even less sense for our owners not to have put in a similar bid.

World class stadium worth £1 million?

Depends how you look at it. Some people think the Ricoh is a cash cow and the council and Higgs are making millions out of it, they would think it was a bad deal. Others things the council has no business being involved in stadium management and would think getting their money back was a good...

    higgs half still for sale

If true that would be the sensible thing to do. Then an agreement so we get all football revenues, they get all rugby revenue and everything else is split.

    Fisher Speaks on cwr

It's not complicated, Wasps have said they are playing there games on Sundays so in your scenario we'd play on the Saturday and they'd play on the Sunday. In any case having to move an occasional cup game to a Sunday is the least of our worries.

    Exeter (H)

He'll be happy if he's binned off international duty to play for us and SP hasn't picked him.

    Fisher Speaks on cwr

I'm not convinced ccfcway was typing what he was saying, it all seemed too much like a parody. The guy is a prize idiot and absolutely delusional (Fisher not ccfcway!)

well I for one can certainly see how much things have improved since SISU took over

    higgs half still for sale

That's what I thought was happened. Can't remember where that came from though but if that hasn't happened its a fairly fundamental change to what we thought was happening.

    Timeframe for sale completion?

Seems a done deal, sounds like Wasps are holding a press conf at the Ricoh tomorrow and announcing JLR as club sponsors, most likely they will be the next stadium sponsors. There were rumours they were looking for finance and didn't have the money yet but it doesn't' come across like that to me.

    Seat Colours

Don't think there's any probably about it. Even if they are going to change the seat colours they aren't going to do it that quickly. Wasps away kit is blue, maybe they'll do a complete rebrand as part of the move and change to blue - after everything that's happened in the last couple of...

What does this actually mean for CCFC though?

Surely you're not saying Les Reed was wrong are you Nick ;) We need something to hope for and that's about the only thing I can find so I'm going to stick with that!

What does this actually mean for CCFC though?

Its not an easy question to answer. If you take SISU at their word then absolutely nothing changes. We still have the 2 + 2 deal in place, ACL continues to exist so that agreement is still valid and will run it's course at which point we will have our new stadium to play in. If anything it is...

    Was this "Decision" a surprise?

I don't think any of it should come as a surprise. Since Lucas has been in charge she has consistently said they will listen to any offers for the Ricoh. Seems SISU have banked on nobody else being interested.

Sisu what are your plans for CCFC ?

It looks like the total cost of getting a 250 year lease on the Ricoh is way below the cost for building an on the cheap stadium. Not putting an offer in seems crazy, it was clearly stated in the meeting there is still time for SISU to put their bid in, hopefully they've taken note of that and...

Todays council meeting will be held in public

That's the key quote so far. SISU need to get a bid in and buy the stadium themselves.

    Stadium seats

You could do the multi-coloured seats trick, that also isn't as obviously empty when shown on TV

Todays council meeting will be held in public

You're spot on but if it goes tits up and Wasps go bust I imagine there would be some provision for it to revert to CCC. It's basically what we've been saying to SISU, you don't need to own the freehold to get all the benefits but they keep insisting you do.

Todays council meeting will be held in public

Think it means the senior team will be based in Cov and the academy is Wycombe or wherever it is now. Can't see that lasting, eventually it will all be based in Cov.

Todays council meeting will be held in public

I can't see that being kept in place permanently, eventually the RFU will quietly drop that requirement I'd imagine.

    CCFC reponse to Ricoh affair

Not much to ask is it. I don't really care who owns the ground or who gets the money when there's a gig there - most other clubs don't have that kind of income. All I want is us to be there on a sustainable long term deal and get access to the revenues we generate.
