This stuff about a name change for the stadium is odd. Of course it's going to change, why wouldn't it. They aren't going to keep calling it Ricoh Arena after the naming rights expire!
Already been mentioned in the press conference thread but probably belongs here. All the information being released today by Wasps says 50% so Higgs share is still for sale. If SISU have half a brain between them they will be on the phone to Higgs ASAP to purchase their share.
Can't keep track of what is confirmed and what is rumour but I think it was stated last night that one of the sale conditions was the seats staying Sky Blue.
It was being posted about on here a couple of years ago, although it was dismissed by many as there was no chance of anyone else being interested in the Ricoh. Find it hard to believe that forum posters heard about it but SISU had no idea.
Best bet is SISU to purchase Higgs 50% share. Come to a deal with Wasps where we get all football revenues, they get all rugby revenues and everything else is split. To be honest, if you ignore the huge franchising issue, that wouldn't be a bad result all round.
Not seen it as it's gone to Wasps ST holders, just posting what they are saying on there forum so who knows but if Lucas is being reported as saying it is 50% and Wasps are saying the same then you would assume they would both know!
Apparently Wasps fans have been emailed and they are moving mid-season. They are being offered pro-rata season ticket refunds or free travel / food for home games.
Also says that Wasps own 50%.
Exactly, at that point they could have made it publically known that they were interested in a stake in the Ricoh and would appreciate an opportunity to match the offer. Instead they said no problem, we're building our own ground anyway.
That was only because the fixtures had already been released when we moved. I would imagine either RFU or FL will supply fixtures to the other and they'll work around each other. they must do that already for other teams that groundshare.
