I'd love to do business with some of the people on here. By the method we are apparently supposed to use CCC and Higgs should have paid SISU £2m to take the stadium off their hands!

That to me looks very much like ACL saying they have a business plan showing that they do not need CCFC. If this is true why would the value be decreasing at such an alarming rate?

I spoke to Cllr Maton about this and he claimed that it was only temporarily taken from the councils cash reserve and that the reserve was later replenished using a loan obtained by the council at a preferential rate.

    Christmas truce?

To be honest Michael I have a very real fear that the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps means the club can't be saved. We are now in a fairly unique position. We own no stadium, don't have a long term lease that gives us stadium revenues or any option to buy a stadium. The only other team i can think...

So what you're basically saying is when CCC kept saying the business had no issues without us being there, was doing wonderfully well, had bookings coming out of their ears and fantastic future projections they were lying?

it's doesn't matter what rate the loan is at its future repayment is not part of the sale price. It's just spin plain and simple. Wasps have paid under £6m.

    New Stadium Announcement

Don't think it looks that bad personally, especially when it's in use. A lot of people complained about the Ricoh being a bowl and said there is a better atmosphere with individual stands. I can see a couple of scenarios in which a temporary stadium would suit. If they think Wasps are reliant...

I tell you what, how much is your house worth? How about you loan me that much money and then I'll buy your house off you. I won't actually pay you anything other than repaying the loan but that will be OK won't it? Ricoh paid £10m for 10 years which adjusted for inflation is over £13m so even...

Wasps owner reveals motives for Ricoh Arena takeover

It would give you a ballpark. Of course the club bring more revenues to ACL than just the rent so those would offset in some part the costs. Would certainly give an indication of the heath of ACL without CCFC there.

Can't answer for Grendel but I can make my own comments If both these things that were oft repeated by CCC & Higgs are true then all the councillors who voted yes to the sale should be hung in Broadgate as they have sold ACL to Wasps for a bargain basement price. The value of the business is...

You seem to have forgotten to answer the question so here it is again for you: Frankly I couldn't care less what BS Fisher came out with or what spin Lucas, or anyone else at CCC or Higgs came out with. The question above is the one I want answer, it's a very simple question that should be...

I can only think that people have so much hate for SISU it is stopping them from seeing any other issues. It seems as soon as you ask a question of any other party involved you somehow become a SISU supporter.

Wasps owner reveals motives for Ricoh Arena takeover

It's odd that the vast majority on here are happy to accept as fact that if Wasps didn't move to the Ricoh they would go out of business as they needed 365 day income yet also state we should stay as tenants as we don't need to own our ground or receive the income generated by us playing there...

    Wasps Sub Forum

I've re-read it and nowhere can I see where it says they need to sell or putting ACL up for sale. I do however recall lots of comments about not needing to sell and ACL being a business that is performing fantastically well. So we come back to the same point, did CCC offer SISU a 250 year lease...

I don't work for any of their sponsors or even live in the city and had 2 different people offer me free tickets, both of whom work for London based companies. It would be interesting to get a true figure of how many people actually paid to get in and of them how many paid full price.

    New Stadium Announcement

It was 2002 and apparently done in a matter of months. Basically between 2 seasons but with them having to relocate for a handful of games at the start of the season. That's pretty much all the info I've found apart from the fact that it cost £6.5m.

In your last post it wasn't impacting CCFC as they weren't the same supporters!

    New Stadium Announcement

Would the land really be £25m? Seems high to me. Of course it depends how quickly they want to build the stadium. Bournemouth completely rebuilt their ground, which is 12K capacity for under £10m (adjusted for inflation).

Is that a serious question? You don't see how a rugby club being dropped into the city and get over 20K of the local population attending there games impacts on attendances for other local teams?
