Match Thread Coventry City vs QPR

You also thought Eccles wasn't up to it and spent a large part of last season saying that Bakayoko should never play for us again. That's as we'll as letting everyone know how crap Robins was in games for not changing things. Games we usually won. If Robins thinks that Shipley is worth a go...

    Realistic signings

Trakia Plovdiv sounded a magical and mysterious name when they came out of the hat in in 1970. The fact is that they weren't as magical as Bayern Munich. (still more mysterious though)

A couple of hours ago you were saying that Eccles was not good enough.

I enjoyed reading this as the players in the clip were a mystery to me, apart from Nicolas and Curtis. You mention Stuart Imlach. This reminded me of a great little book written by his son, Gary. It's called: My Father, and Other Working Class Hero's. Gary mentions that in researching this book...

    Player Ratings v Bristol

Whenever Eccles has played he has been impressive. I read on here he is 20 now? If that is the case then he needs to be given his chance. I can't see a reason for keeping him if he isn't going to be played.

I bought my ST from the ticket office last week. I asked the lady about the QPR game and she told me it wasn't covered by the ST deal as it was on Sky. I think we will have to buy a match pass the same as everyone else.

Match Thread Bristol City V Coventry City

3.45 on the opening day of the season last year we were 0-0 at home to Southend so I think we could give it a bit longer.

If he is told that this is a career ending injury then fair enough. He would have this year to get himself sorted out. If he is told he has a good chance of total rehabilitation and a resumption of his career, then I think it would be right think to keep him on next season. That isn’t from a...

Sometimes maybe, you have to look at the person and not the player. Would it cost the club that much to offer him another year if he tries to come back for the third time? We know from the previous two injuries that even this time next year he won't be up to speed. Surely it would be the right...

If it's his other knee, perhaps he still has a chance. You hear that repairs to injury can actually make the damaged body part stronger. It does seem he has a weakness with his knees. If he chooses to carry on, I hope the club support him beyond this season.

Championship Club Membership - 1st Sept

I bought our ST's from the ticket office today. The lady told me that no one will be allocated seats. When you turn up you will be escorted to the next available seat. We will almost certainly therefore be in different seats each game. That will be difficult for 3.5k fans, obviously harder still...

Can you buy a Sky match pass for that particular game? I don't have Sky either. I am sure I watched the game away at Portsmouth 2 years ago (the one we lost 2-1) on Sky by paying on the day.

Don't know Mark Robins, never met him, probably never will. Nothing to gain from saying things how I see them. I just don't understand the need to belittle an achievement we haven't achieved since 1970 (finishing top 6 in the league) and another in gaining promotion for the first time since 1967.

In terms of the stadium, you’re right I am sure the players don’t care that much and St Andrews would be comparible to the Ricoh in many ways. What does make the difference is who is in the stadium. If we had been playing at the Ricoh with 15k City fans and 500 away fans that surely gives us...

McNulty may have been deeper. He certainly wasn’t playing in midfield or even the number 10 role. To say we didn’t play with two strikers until Jones was injured is wrong.

So basically you are ignoring all that went before the League 2 season. It didn’t matter what state the club or the team were in Robins had to deliver in your view. In my opinion that remains a really harsh way to look at the situation. Presumably then an 8th place finish and Robins would...

2020-21 Early Season Sky Blues Talk Half-Truths and Theories.....

Isn’t the fact that our home form at St Andrews in spite of our reduced support? Isn’t it also because of the players we had, the way that they were organised, brought together and managed? Surely you are not saying that the home form was due to playing in front of reduced crowds in Birmingham...
