    I don’t think he did go missing early on really anyway. He’s been our best player all year. Thought it was a massive coup to get him - can’t believe we didn’t face more opposition

    We would have been better off with Robins

    Some seasons Robins had money. Some he didn’t. He took us from the worst position we’ve probably ever been in to the point where Lampard inherited a squad capable of finishing 5th with just Grimes added in.     It’s proven to be the right decision as the results prove it. However, barring Grimes Lampard has done it with the squad Robins assembled. I think it just needed a freshen up and I do think Robins had lost the plot with his coaching appointments. Managers tend to have a cycle of influence...

    Sakamoto

    Sakamoto’s final ball is the difference. It’s regularly better than other deliverers such as Wright, MVE or EMC. Rudoni is good as well but is also needed on the other end of them.

    The Simms equation is simple for me. He will score streaks of goals but his all round game is very poor and unlikely to improve. I’d start BTA in the play offs - no question

    Our midfield

    Grimes, Sheaf, Rudoni, Eccles, Torp, Allen. At one point this year we were threadbare there. Now it’s our strength. Going into games with Rudoni, Sheaf and Grimes gives us a chance v anyone

    He’s a good player. At home we get it to him more which is the problem only difference. His delivery is the best in the squad

    I’d go with BTA through the middle.,Has more basic skills and is far more likely to make everyone else in the team believe.
