Not sure what your point is? Are you defending Simms or just facets of his contract? If you are a big fan of his can you explain why, as a professional, he still can’t control the ball, head it, pass it or connect cleanly with it.

Disagree. The form Simms is in no game is made for him.

I understood the preference of permanent over loan and agree with it. The problem is we had a season to look at Binks and still made the decision to sign. Odd one for me.

Lampard got it right and it’s extremely simple. Wright is our best forward. BTA is our next best. So Simms didn’t play.

If we had the chance to get Doyle for £8m I’d take their hand off. Has ability and a bit of nastiness about him and can play LB. The sort of quality we need to add to progress.

Goal contributions - fine. You’ll never see him “in” games as much as the other three. He’s not mobile enough to cover Rudoni. So he falls between stools for me. Nice player who has ability but not quite what you want in the engine room of the team.

Not on the wind up about Torp at all. He has quality about him and can finish a bit. But he doesn’t influence games anywhere near enough for me. He also lacks two yards of pace and for want of a better word “agility”. For me he’s an easy upgrade.

I thought EMC’s performance went a bit under the radar. Maybe it was due to Saka’s masterclass. But Emc ran them ragged. He has pace, power and strikes a clean ball. He has a knack for goals as well. He’ll be a big plus next year if we can keep him fit.

If we could get cash for Torp and Sheaf I’d do it and keep Allen and Eccles. Reinvest in an extra midfielder in the mould of a Torp + and bolster the squad by bringing Andrew’s back.

Definitely agree we need to fix the defence first. We concede bad goals very regularly. Defensively MVE and Dasilva are both very poor. That’s the priority for me. Along with a new keeper for Collins. On the wider recruitment front the championship is generally a terrible place to buy. You get...
