    Relegation thread

Sadly don't see any hope. As well as our players being very short on quality they also don't have the mental resolve to see out games which we saw in Slade's first two games. Those four dropped points in injury time demonstrates a team totally lacking in self belief. At this stage of the season...

Random fact, John Williams' wife worked behind one of the bars on my university campus when he played for York City in the late 90s.

My favourite under-rated player of the 90s is David Rennie. I remember him being epic when we came back to get a draw against Wimbledon with nine men.

He was basically treated like a pet who could do no wrong by the Ginger one. I think they played a lot of golf together. A very clear case of favouritism up there with Phil Neil and Julian Darby.

A prediction for CCFCs future if Sisu stay....

In answer to the thread title I suspect: 2016-17 - Relegation to League 2 2017-18 - Top half finish in League 2 2018-19 - Bottom half finish in League 2 2019-2020 - Relegation out of League 2 2020-2021 - SISU sell club. Top 6 finish in Blue Square 2021-2022 - Promotion back to League 2

    Slade knows what he's doing.....

He's doing a good job in very trying circumstances. With Penus as manager, we would have lost both the Peterborough and Bolton games. Let's see where we are at the end of the window but he's the best we can have in our parlous state.

What a fab picture of one of our former players

Remember Terry Venables cracking an Egg and Chips joke in France 98 when Chippo and Dan Eggen scored in the same match.

A prediction for CCFCs future if Sisu stay....

All quite plausible based on the past 9 years experience. As soon as there is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel as there was under Robins and in the first half of last season, SISU decide not to back the manager and the dream dies. It's all about managing a slow decline into the nether...

    SISU 2016 Accounts

Clear from these accounts that SISU have money to invest should they wish to. The fact is they choose not to invest.

    SISU 2016 Accounts

I look forward to the time that following our club is more like Match of the Day and less like the Dragon's Den.

    Investment on the Horizon?

Of all the things about SISU that wind me up , this attitude that they won't put any money in to invest because it's somehow reckless is at the top. Any of us could own the club on this basis, we wouldn't have any money to invest either.

    Jordan Turnbull

From what we've heard a completely crocked Reda would be preferable to Turnbull.

    Jordan Turnbull

Unfortunately "a fit Reda" doesn't exist as he's been beset by injuries throughout his entire career

    Investment on the Horizon?

Like so many other things it's the forlorn desperation of potential hope that makes our club's plight so painful along with the fact that it hasn't always been like this. It's knowing that in different circumstances we could be where Leicester or Southampton are now. It's having seen us beat...

    What did he actually say?

    We might as well...

Agree, as evidenced by the Cambridge debacle. I think we'd struggle in the Blue Square Premiership (or whatever it's called) with this bunch of jokers.

    Investment on the Horizon?

I think the club is metaphorically drinking in the last chance saloon now. If something positive doesn't happen soon I think the club in its existing form slips into terminal decline territory as the remainder of fans attending games vote with their feet and we are left with home crowds of...
