    Managers Since Sillett

Personally feel Nilsson and Adams deserved longer in the job. I wouldn't really criticise any of the other sackings aside from Eric Black but (a) he was only a caretaker and (b) I don't wish to reopen that old chestnut!

    Managers Since Sillett

Pretty sure we were in the relegation zone when Dowie got sacked. Aside from the win at Old Trafford his record was poor.

    Managers Since Sillett

Harbin was an Aussie rugby coach. Bunn was an 80s footballer, played for Oldham.

    Managers Since Sillett

Only managers who I think did a decent job in past 27 years were Nilsson, Adams and Robins. Strachan did well for the first 2-3 years. I think the managers who have damaged us the most were Reid (we seemed to decline in status under him), Coleman (had an amazing squad for the Championship and...

    Slade

Doubt it is as Slade only contracted to end of the season so no compensation when he leaves. Appointing him on a short term contract is probably the only thing SISU have ever got right.

    Slade

Got to try and start again next season. Total fresh start, blank page etc. It's the only chance as this lot wouldn't be successful against the likes of Leamington, Rugby or Nuneaton.

    Slade

Kept us in the top division single handed several times over. A damn sight more than Ricketts.

    Slade

Going for the cheap option every time is what has landed us in this sorry mess. Not convinced that Ricketts is the man for the job at all.

    Slade

We need someone from outside the current set up. The whole thing is rotten from top to bottom

    Slade

Why is everyone assuming Ricketts will be the manager next season? Please no. He couldn't inspire a riot.

    Slade

DKE is terrible. I don't blame him, he's trying his best but isn't ready and is horribly lightweight. Same for many of the kids. We need a team of men, not kids and grandads next season.

    Slade

If he was an honourable man he would have left several years ago. We all know that he is a dishonourable piece of unadulterated scum.

    Slade

What, so we are just supposed to accept that we'll never win a league match again?

    Slade

Would rather have Oggy than Ricketts. What leadership qualities did Ricketts show doing his time with the club?
  15. J

    Slade

Yes but we are stuck with SISU. They have to be told that they will never be competitive in any division - even if we are playing on the War Memorial Park - while they put together teams which are filled with kids who aren't ready and veterans who aren't bothered and are over the hill. Jim White...

    Slade

We are down this year so I think it's best to keep Slade until the bitter end of this season so the new guy doesn't get tarnished by relegation and we really don't want Oggy as caretaker either do we? Slade should be told that he won't be offered a new contract unless somehow he keeps us up and...

    Reassuringly consistent

Nice to see that in these uncertain times, one thing remains reassuringly constant - our truly appalling form after Christmas. Unfortunately this season we didn't get the points on the board to offset the traditional slump.

    Slade

We've gone this season. Barring a miracle we are down. We simply have to focus on how we can possibly get promoted out of League 2 next season. I think the only answer is an entirely new manager and entirely new players. I'd also like entirely new owners but that is probably too much to ask for!

    Slade

Slade should go and take the entire squad with him. We need a total clear out from top to bottom in order to adapt to League 2 without this awful cloud of defeatism which hangs over everything. Too much to hope SISU will go but for next season I want to see two things: 1. A young, hungry...
