    We might as well...

Well one thing we do know for certain is that with this squad we'll probably be relegated by early March. Tinkering around the edges won't do, this has to be massive changes. Either we massively roll the dice in January or we just accept our fate. I'd prefer the former.

Match Thread Bristol R v Coventry Match Thread - Monday 26th Dec

They must all be a bunch of manic depressives given the amount of time they've had a "loss of confidence". Not sure some of them ever had confidence to start with.

Wh I'd say we need to change 11 players from our starting team at least!

    Jordan Turnbull

He sounds a bit like Adam Virgo who was absolute toilet.

    We might as well...

...get rid of the entire squad in January and bring in 22 new players be they loans, free transfers whatsoever. What harm could it do as with this squad we'll do well to win another three games this season and will go down with our lowest points total ever. Might as well roll the dice completely...

    Jordan Turnbull

Don't go to games these days as I live 150 miles from Coventry and I'm not a sadomasochist (I did have a season ticket for nearly 25 years) but from following games from TV highlights and reading reports, this guy appears to be responsible for the majority of goals we concede. He appears to be...

    How does this end?

Following the confirmation yesterday by Fisher that (a) SISU will not invest in the club and (b) they have no intention of selling as they will simply cut their cloth to break even whatever level we end up at, we need to think of some scenarios to change this seemingly inevitable drift of a once...

    Some good news at last

It's a Saturday and we are guaranteed not to lose!

    The bottom line

He's not serious about that though is he? If he was, a site would have been identified by now. After all they've had about 4 years and are no further forward. It's just lip service to try to give the illusion of being serious about the club's future.

    Fisher is the problem

Great post. On your last point, as I have said before I'm convinced their only motivation is pure spite and total contempt for fans, former players and anyone else associated with the club's history. The club has been hijacked by people who at best simply don't have its best interests at heart...

    This club is dead

Is the club dead? I would say the club as it existed from 1963 is arguably dead as SISU have made it clear through Fisher that they have zero ambition for the club as a footballing entity and it merely represents a vehicle to return revenue to their investors. Therefore the club as a competitive...

    Fisher is the problem

Why is Fisher still in the job whereas Ranson, Dulieu, Igwe, Clouting, Clarke, Anderson, Brody all been and gone? The answer is he's the only one who has personally been willing to follow through SISU's orders without baulking. My concern is if he goes they will replace him with someone as bad...

    You're the chairman

That is one of the main problems
  14. J

    You're the chairman

SISU haven't stated that they are dropping any further legal challenges which is what they could do
  15. J

    You're the chairman

Depends how much influence the Chairman truly has with SISU. I don't think we really know the answer but if I was approached I'd make it a condition of taking the job
  16. J

    You're the chairman

Three things on day one: 1. Drop the legal actions and state that you will get round the table with Wasps to thrash out a deal to stay at the Ricoh 2. Appoint an experienced lower league manager with a track record 3. Apologise to the fans for the last nine years and make it clear that this is...

What do you think will happen january sales??

Stokes, Stevenson, Sordell, Willis, McCann leaving. Loan players who are non-league or youth team players brought into replace them to cut the costs further and generate more profit for SISU.

    Fisher is the problem

He's been charged by SISU with two things 1. to balance the books by cost-cutting to a point where the club is a shambles both on and off the pitch and 2. be the messenger to say the things no-one else has the guts to say. This is where his personality helps SISU clearly he isn't someone who...

    The bottom line

I sense SISU would rather own a non-league club which breaks even than a slight loss-making club towards the top of the Championship. They are totally disinterested in the football.

    The bottom line

Listening to Fisher interviewed twice today amid all the fluff of the stadium, court cases, financial mismanagement, on the field issues etc, one thing stands out. Namely, SISU are (a) now breaking even and even generating a slight annual profit due to the costs being cut to the absolute bare...
