We’re just not stringing passes together, we have to be more direct if we under constant pressure. Definitely think Sheaf ought to come on early in the second half. Without hating on Shipley, we don’t get the most out of him in the DM role.

    Bournemouth game selected for tv

Actually, I might just get a month pass on Now TV for Sky - maybe it’s not so bad after all with all the Prem games too. I’m one of those folk who have just bought the membership and do not have Sky.

For the Barnsley game, I’d start Sheaf and Hamer. This game however, Sheaf is probably best used coming off the bench in the second half, replacing Shipley or Hamer if he starts losing his head. 90 minutes on Tuesday, I’m sure MR would’ve taken him off had he planned to start him today.

Fans vote with their feet. If the fans packed out stadiums for these cup games, teams would value them more. Particularly the Checkatrade and Carabao Cup competitions have failed to generate a lot of interest from fans. The FA Cup still generates interest, albeit by running on the fumes of its...

    William Bapaga

He thought Baka should have got a red card. Steve Evans and his teams are always the victim, it’s never their fault.

    Mark Robins

Even if we get relegated, I do think we’ve got a good squad and framework to bounce back up. I’m happy with our squad, a couple of loanees would be nice. We’ll be fine this season.

    William Bapaga

My view is that Bapaga looked good. He was positive on the ball with direct passing and tricky dribbling. A really good performance for him. Maybe it’s be being a big rugby lad, but I thought he was bit lightweight in that foul where he ended up dislocating his shoulder. That strength is...

Pretty much. There are people on low-incomes who have ST at Premiership clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and so on. If people really want to go, they’ll go whether it’s £5 or £50. If things were that desperate, you could quite ask a few friends if they wanted to come over and split the costs...

I stream quite a lot of sports, Premier league and the NBA playoffs at the minute. But, for the hassle of paying £10 to watch a stream of my team’s games that is reliable and doesn’t crash (in my experience, anyway) is well worth the money. The club get almost of the money too. I’d like...

Including cup matches, I would probably total around £500 if you bought every single game individually. Why don’t people know more about the Championship membership? It’s very good value. You get 22 home games (minus QPR) - which is already covers every home game on iFollow. Then, you get a...

It is a valid concern to have, and matches my own prejudice going into the season. But, it’s a bit too early to to worry about it. Playing away from home, even without fans, still favours the home team, and all our games so far have been away. Trust me on that, I’ve played many games in front...

I think we’re going to be a very naive team this season. If we can stay in the Championship this season (which I think we will), we will develop nicely as an outfit. This season, however, we are a very youthful and inexperienced outfit. Despite that, what we have got going for us is that we’ve...

    Gillingham Player Ratings

Thompson had a couple of dodgy moments in the last 10-15. Overall, he handled himself well in an unfavored role on the left of the 3 centre backs. I don't want to be doom and gloom about this result. Had there been ET, we would have probably won the game.

My issue is that he rushed out of position leaving a massive gap behind him. 1-0 up in stoppage time, it's such unnecessarily reckless defending, especially when he wasn't really in a good position to win the ball. He shouldn't have allowed the ball to go into the box. Rose conceded a stupid...

That played no role in the goal being conceded.

Bigger picture, I don’t think Robins cares that much. However, you look at how we dominated the game, the opposition didn’t offer much, yet we somehow threw it away - he’ll be annoyed by that. Quality minutes for Dabo, Rose, Sheaf, Walker (and more) is a good thing.

That’s very harsh. He shouldn’t have let the man put the ball in the box, but the player who was brought down wasn’t really near the ball. The reality is, we should’ve been out of sight by half time.

What a shithouse way to lose a game. Loose defending in the last 10 minutes and 2 criminal missed chances. I’m not too fussed with the result, it’s clearly been treated a bit like a preseason game, but it’s disappointing to throw the game away.

Disappointing to let this game go to pens after controlling game like that. Gillingham offered nothing, but you run the risk if we don’t put away our chances.
