    Your beloved SISU: Why?

Thanks Jan for your clarification in this and your previous post. Clearly there is no way back for SISU. Lets hope it all ends well.

    Your beloved SISU: Why?

Please read again - I was not suggesting ACL should give anything away, just clarifying the difference between revenue and profit on revenue.

    Your beloved SISU: Why?

I would be interested to know if Jan can confirm the first paragraph, or if someone can find that post as I missed it. Point taken on purchasing the THT half share of the Ricoh, as long as there are other investors ready to come in this time, and as long as CCC don't block the sale of this...

    Your beloved SISU: Why?

The £100-200k figure that keeps getting mentioned is the PROFIT on other match day related revenue that ACL has offered SISU. The revenue figure itself will be much higher, but for arguments sake unless someone has the actual figure lets assume it is £1M (it was apparently over £1M in the...

    Your beloved SISU: Why?

I have no sympathy for SISU but for the record the dispute on revenues is not just about an extra £100-200k per year.

    Your beloved SISU: Why?

Even before SISU came along CCC made it clear its 50% share in the Ricoh was not for sale under any circumstances to any buyer full stop.

    your beloved acl ...

Err actually I think you will find I was quoting someone else's post presenting a more balanced view than most contributors on here, and one that I broadly agree with. And I agree with you too ... why DID SISU bother in the first place

    your beloved acl ...

THIS .... Post by Westofrayne on CET website:- [ "Sorry all who think this is good news, unlike most clubs that go into administration the club has no assets, so why would anybody want to invest in a club that has no assets, a ridiculous rent agreement for a stadium it cannot fill and no match...

    ACL £1m profit?

Out of interest does anyone have the time and inclination to find and post the turnover (revenue) of every team in div 1 for comparison purposes so we can all understand where CCFC sits in the revenue table?

    Freak Result

Not a freak result but we certainly rode our luck as the stats show. Nowhere near as much as Crewe rode their luck against us though.

So perhaps the 'allowable' revenue TF mentioned in his interview on 15/02 may exclude revenue that results from the buying and selling of assets, such as players.

Yes I see what your saying, and you are right FFP would then be pointless if you happened to have £1.3M lying around to spend on wages. The Football League's own website makes it sound as if that could happen because it simply says that FFP is linked to turnover. But in his interview on 15/02 TF...

Sorry misled you ... we need more revenue to pay more wages. If you make a profit on buying and selling players that profit is then additional revenue, 65% of which can then be used to pay more in wages. But of course you have to have the money to buy players first, and that isn't a course...

I agree with you to an extent, and in my view CCFC generates revenues for the arena that actually go beyond just match day revenues, and arguably adds value to such things as advertising and stadium sponsorship rights. However taking the balanced view it has to be also recognised that ACL not...

Well you can buy and sell individual players within the existing budget that is fixed by the current revenue, but to increase the overall budget for the squad you need more revenue.

The FFP limits what can be paid on players wages as a % of revenue, so if revenue is increased the actual amount (£) spent on the squad can increase accordingly. I take your point that if CCFC pays out more in rent then it has to find the money from somewhere to do that if it is to at the...

Thanks OSB, appreciate the feedback, and of course whether or not TF is right doesn't alter the fact that neither rent reduction or cash injection gives CCFC even £1 more to spend on players. Now to take the debate a stage further for everyone ... If ACL were to offer a completely different...

OSB is better placed than me to answer but I checked on the internet for what cost of sales does/doesn't include before posting.
