Showing support for Palmer on Friday

@2024/25 League 1 Champs? Your reaction to my post #80 above rather proves the point I made in the second sentence. #sad

Thank you for your post. We know that 99.9% + of Owls fans are perfectly decent. Sadly we also have a very tiny number of idiots ourselves ☹️

    Callum O’hare

I suspect it's not that so much as not wanting to upset other players who feel they are worth the same or similar to COH. It will be very damaging to the morale of the squad if we have a queue of players banging on Doug's door demanding a pay rise, especially if their demands are refused. I'm...

    Transfer targets

The report I read said that Rollheiser can play left wing, right wing or as a 10. That flexibility would have been useful to us even if COH stays and would have given us a ready-made replacement if he goes. It's a pity we lost out - if the report is true - but it's good to see the club...

    Deeney sackd

I think that's a fair assessment. He did well for us at his best. It was sad that his performances for us went downhill towards the end and he obviously hasn't performed for FGR. Like you, I put this down to his injuries. He's only 28 and football is a short career, so I hope he can get back...

With Macaulay Langstaff alongside them that's going to be a very crowded but high quality bench. 🙂

That's as it should be. Having a contented squad and a good team spirit - which I believe we have at the moment - is very important. I think MR has good man management skills.

I seriously doubt if it could be "literally anyone" The field has to be much narrower than that. To give you but one example, it definitely isn't me. I wasn't anywhere near good enough in my prime and that was about 40 years ago. 😊

    Sheaf

Sheaf always turns in solid performances. The best Mr Reliable since Brian Borrows. He provides the solid platform every team needs. If players like COH and Tats are the icing on the cake then Sheaf is the cake. He is a very important player for us.

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Jan

What a great result today. We were one down wth about 11 minutes to go and fought to the very end. We didn't even go very defensive - the way Leicester did - when we went a goal up. Very proud of the lads. MR is putting a really good squad together. There seems to be a great team spirit as well.

    What time will teams arrive?

I'm happy for the Leicester players to miss the first half. :D

Sheff Wed Cup Game Fri 26th at 1945

It's being moved because Sheffield United are at home to Brighton & HA in the 4th round and the police can't cover both matches being played on the same day.

    Victor Torp

So do I but we seem reasonably well blessed with attacking midfielders at the moment, so this is probably what we need. I hope our fans will learn a lesson from our summer signings - remember all the posts about our shocking recruitment - and give Torp a chance to settle in. It doesn't seem...

    Victor Torp

I can't see him even being on the bench this weekend. Will we even get the international clearance through in time to register him as our player?

    Binks v Kitching

I get that but, as others have said, I think he is too good to want to play second fiddle and dependent on injuries or suspensions to get starts. I think Latibeaudiere is our best bet for backup. He is versatile, so likely to get enough games to keep him happy. His versatility is a major asset...
