Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

Otium or anyone could have made an offer to Higgs, but as no offers were seemingly made except the Wasps one, then Higgs accepted their offer. Now as part of a previous deal Higgs have to let CCFC Ltd know that they have agreed to sell, it does not appear that Higgs have any intention of...

Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

Simon, isn't the part of the story below contradictory to the headline? Peter Knatchbull Hugessen, clerk for the Higgs Charity, said: “The charity has been in regular correspondence with the liquidator and the liquidator’s solicitors. “We have had no contact with Otium, and there won’t have...

    fa cup 1st round

High as a kite after a 7-1 win put East Thurrock United into The FA Cup First Round, manager John Coventry shouted: give me Coventry. And the manager was dreaming of a plum draw when he spoke to TheFA.com after the game. “We're all celebrating in the clubhouse this evening and having a bit...

    Wholesale changes needed today

The list of goal scorers makes interesting reading. I still don't think that Jackson would do as well as Wilson as he lacks great pace as was shown in previous home games, but I'd certainly rather we go for a change in approach and go and attack more. I'd rather lose having a real go than lose...

    Higgs Share Update

I'm not confident either way about their academy, although it does appear the RFU aren't bothered about teams moving so I doubt they are fussed if their academy moves (other clubs might be). I'd rather wasps not get hold of ACL, but I think arguments stand up against wasps without the need the...

It's as if you try and get mixed up on purpose. Very odd.

    Higgs Share Update

That would be the situation at least until the RFU redefine the academy boundaries, that is due in 18 months, but could happen before. The argument would be that with a training facility here other people or schools could go along, I think they mentioned the plan is to get players visiting...

They can't move the academy, they can build a training facility. No spin involved, two different things.

    Higgs Share Update

I think there are people who don't want them to own the Ricoh, but I don't recall many, if any, posts saying that they don't want them to own or buy into ACL.

    Sixfields - you'll like this!

I didn't realise that I needed to interpret your argument, I thought reading what you had written would suffice, sorry about that. Here are a couple of stories from Les Reid where the Council are saying 'it's for sale, make an offer'. I have no argument that in the article you posted it clearly...

    Sixfields - you'll like this!

You seem to have changed your argument, before it was the Council said it wasn't for sale, now your argument is that they didn't say it was for sale.

    Sixfields - you'll like this!

They were aware it was for sale. I'm surprised anyone would read it that way.

Why, in my humble opinion, SP is not the man to take this club forward.

I think we've got to give him a chance with a fully fit team, we started the season ok. If Webster and Willis could start heading the ball clear it would help a bit as well.

    Sixfields - you'll like this!

I didn't draw the conclusion that it wasn't for sale, in fact when the Council said it was for sale and they would listen to offers, I thought that indicated quite clearly that it was for sale. I don't imagine the Council did offer the same deal to CCFC, I would rather they did, but I also...

    Sixfields - you'll like this!

I don't believe the Council ever said ACL wasn't for sale.

    Sixfields - you'll like this!

It wouldn't make sense, as the scenario you refer to didn't happen.

    Time to Go Sisu.

I can't see it happening at all. If all the money was to be made in 365 leisure complexes then they would be popping up all over the place, they certainly wouldn't want ccfc trotting up with 1,500 fans when they could make more money putting an extra few shops on the space where a pitch would be.

    Time to Go Sisu.

You're not bothering to answer the question then. Ok. The best option for CCFC is to rent, we have no money to do anything else.
