Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

The question was whether there was an annual rent, I answered no because they have paid up front. You can have leases where you pay annually, but this isn't the case with ACL, or with the extension.

Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

Its hard to be sure about very much of this, but why would any holder of 50% of a company not have the power to decide who to work with. The veto is known to have existed before, there's no reason to suggest the veto wouldn't still be the best thing to have in ACL or any 50/50 owned company.

Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

I highly doubt it, Wasps have reportedly paid a £1m to extend it, rent isn't usually payable if you pay up front, except a possible small (peppercorn) amount. That's what ACL did, they paid up front to avoid a rent.

    What a year

Sat in the West Stand for that game (although was the final over 2 legs?), only time I ever went up there so I imagine it must have been hard to get tickets. I don't recall many of that youth team making a long career in football.

Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

If the renewal is due next year, and that's what I suspect, then it makes the shares seem very cheap at the reported £5.5m.

I think this article from May this year confirms that renewal hasn't been agreed, still quite vague though. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/ricoh-arena-sponsors-hope-see-7108507

Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

I haven't seen anyone posting as you describe, it just seems a bit like saying there's people who are hypocrites when they don't exist, but it suits an argument to say they do.

Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

It would be a farce if that was ever the case, which of course it wasn't. Higgs could have accepted an offer off anyone, I guess now they have said they want to accept the Wasps deal that will be that. If they get a better offer maybe it will change their mind, will SISU ever make an offer though.

Sky Blues owners to bid for Higgs' shares in ACL

OSB58 has written a few detailed reasons why it would appear very unlikely anyone would risk trying to buy a share of ACL through CCFC Ltd, basically it would cost a lot of money to settle CCFC Ltd debts, and then the offer can be turned down by Higgs and could be vetoed by Wasps.
