ALL TIME CCFC XI (since the late 80s)

Disagree with the term 'ALL TIME' when it starts in 1980. Of course CCFC didn't exist before you were born. God knows what I was watching before then. Maybe I just imagined players like George Curtis. Willie Carr. Bill Glazier. Tommy Hutchinson. Terry Yorath. etc etc

    Fleetwood Highlights

goalie could have done a lot better for the first as well. He had a nightmare five minutes. Where the hell was he running when the player back passed? Haha we finally get a bit of luck.

Relegation "would not be the end of the world" for CCFC

It doesn't take a genius to recognise that a 'New' new stadium makes no financial sense. And it doesn't take a genius to know that there is never any re-booting. I wish I had asked for a pound from everyone I met who said it would be good for CCFC to be relegated from the Premier League as it...

    Bradford match thread

Well Mowbray must make an impact. There is no room for gradual improvement. We'll find out whether they are up for a fight. 2-1 to the sky blues.

Coventry City 'can't survive in League One' and have their priorities wrong

I always think it is worth listening to someone with a successful track record. After all Leeds haven't been mismanaged for 20 years have they?

    Who was the last.........

I don't think I've ever met anyone who could say anything positive about Dean Emerson or even put him in the same sentence as Boateng and Robson.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

The biggest thing in our favour is that Bradford are still in with the chance of a semi final at Wembley. The players won't want to get injured and so will play within themselves. That is how we could capitalise if we are up for it.

    Fisher on new stadium

The main problem I see with this scenario is that using the Ricoh as a guide: It cost £110m to build and yet is only now valued at £5.5m. Would a stadium that cost say £30 to build including land be worth more than £2m? Anything is only actually worth what someone is willing to pay for it...

Mowbray, is he the right man ?

Steve Waggot has done well to get the board to pay for a senior manager for a change. But we don't know what his brief will be. Pressley was told to reduce the wage budget and lower the age of the squad. Both of which he did while generating money from sales to keep the club going. It will be...

    Phil Babb

He has had to put up with a lot of off field antics at Hayes so is an ideal candidate for us.

I expect it to be Hockaday for rest of season although I didn't vote for him.

Shock Horror: Tim found out again...

The chairman of my local club also said there were FL restrictions regarding choice of grounds. One was height above sea level. The other was orientation with regard the sun. Both turned out to be b*ll*cks. Football club owners are never honest with their fan base.

    Views on Pressley

SP was a victim of he own philosophy. He champions bringing youngsters through the ranks and this is why is was brought in. Unfortunately exactly the same thing will happen wherever he goes because it all starts off well enough but soon deteriorates as the realities of reducing finance kick in...

Coventry City receive more than 50 applications for manager's job

Given the appalling judgement of most boards of directors I think you are right. They regularly appoint people who have appalling track records, presumably on the sole basis that their stock has risen (in their eyes) merely because they were previously employed by someone else. eg Megson.
