    New stadium meeting with RBC

On that note, I'd love to see CCFC in the championship, with a stadium in the city, and Wasps playing on the same day at the Ricoh. Guess who I think would have to give away the most free tickets. ;)

16/1 on SkyBet to win League one in 2015/16

16/1 is piss-poor value for L1 champions, based on where we currently are. That's why bookies drive big shiny cars, I guess. :)

    New stadium meeting with RBC

They did need each other NW, when the council owned the Ricoh. Now it's sold I think both sides are moving on. We always knew that SISU seemed impossible to deal with, but who would have guessed that the council could be so greasy. It has to put everything else that has gone on, and the...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

There's a lot of sense in this NW, as usual. But I think the game the council played here when selling to Wasps, the simple breathtaking lies that were spouted at the time, might really have broken the relationship. I certainly wouldn't trust them again if I was running the club. Having said...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

Noggin, the thing here is that you're taking your opinion that the new stadium makes no financial sense, and saying stuff like you can't understand the thought processes of those who would disagree. That's a bit of a cheap dig, imho, so I had a cheap one back. As for the meeting with RBC, it's...

    Now that is entirely possible.

    New stadium meeting with RBC

I think that they've sat on it for two years because there was always some hope of getting of the Ricoh. Now that's off the table maybe option (a) suddenly makes sense. I'm always surprised that people don't see how much selling the Ricoh to Wasps has shafted us, imho.

    Talks with Mowbray to continue

I like your plan, but everyone knows that key announcements have to wait until "Bullshit Thursday". It will have to be sorted by tomorrow, or expect to wait another week. :)

    New stadium meeting with RBC

Great post, and that's the key question, OSB, absolutely - is building our own ground worth it? Can I reverse the question though, if it isn't worth it, why would SISU be so obsessed with the idea? Whatever we think of them, presumably they're not in this to lose even more money.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

I don't think they're all like that for a moment, but they've got to justify it to themselves somehow. They've ignored two key facts that I can see - they had other options to stay in and around London, and they've proposed moving their fixtures to Saturdays (thus impinging even further on...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

Because without income streams other than ticket revenue, we're going to suffer under SCMP in League One. In the championship the rules are even tougher. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/financial-fair-play-league-one-8560150 So the likely scenario is that we stay...

Football League Highlights move to Channel 5

It's hard to imagine anything worse than the current FL show on the beeb, but then I remember what ITV did to MoTD! Still, at least we'll be rid of Clem (hopefully). Can we just have a show that focuses on the game, rather than the chit-chat, please... As for all of this baldist stuff, I...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

I think the bond is about paying back Richardson to the tune of at least £10m, and clearing the mortgage for ACL for another £14m or so. That would leave £5-£10m spare, which currently would cover Wasps operating losses for a few years. In fairness, you'd probably expect Wasps to make more...

    North Stand petition

I don't much like the idea, but if regular attendees and STHs like Torchy are prepared to accept it for the greater good, then who am I as a part-timer (these days) to quibble. Let's see how it works out, I guess. If we're in the hunt for promotion then I suspect it will become academic...

Will TM be here next season?

On the basis that SISU seem happy to make promises that they won't necessary fulfil, I think it's likely that they'll tell TM what he wants to hear. On that basis he'll stay. The impact on season ticket sales if he goes will be a big driver for them here. However, whether they'll action the...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Again, from the prospectus. I read this a bit as Wasps saying "the valuation experts that we've paid for, find that the Arena leasehold is worth loads of money (please lend us some more so that we can pay something back to that bloke who keeps us running, and also keep our heads above water for...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Here's the stuff from the prospectus relating to the lease (page 22 of 276). In essence CCC can claim back the lease if ACL goes pop. Though it's not black and white what happens in that circumstance, it's acknowledged as a risk in the second paragraph. In essence claiming in the media that...

Changes to the Ricoh next season - Waggott

Me too - I've just got a much wider centre parting than I used to have. By way of recompense, I can grow lots more hair in my nose and ears these days.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Not often that I'd disagree with you OSB, but the Ricoh leasehold belongs to ACL, and if ACL go bust the lease reverts to the council, doesn't it? In other words, if you bought a bond and and ACL failed for any reason (most likely Wasps going under), the Ricoh Arena itself could not be sold to...
