Put like that it is a damning statistic and doesn’t bode well for the season ahead. The Covid outbreak has done us no favours but that is possibly the same for all teams. We are a couple of weeks away from when we have to be ready and I suspect there will be lots of unpredictable results in all...

At one time Cov Rugby was the premier rugby club in the country. Big games against Moseley, Leicester and the Welsh clubs had capacity crowds. Once the game went professional it all went pear shaped.

Great in theory but we are facing an opponent who is looking to beat us, attacking only works when you better than the team you are playing. We can’t guarantee a win in any game.

    Hamer

Hamer is not a key player IMO, had a decent first half, poor second half of the season and offered less and less as the season progressed and we got better. No co-incidence. That said I am looking forward to see him play for us this season and would be disappointed to see him go. if we get on...

Why didn’t you just buy one each?

    Missed Opportunity?

Unless I am mistaken we have been told for years we have pay our own way. It was made crystal clear that investment or splashing some of it was not happening. Fans can’t have it both ways, we want £15 a ticket but we want you to splash the cash...and everything that SAJ has said in the post above.

Too many mentions of illegal substances in your post, not enough about the need for new players or how the stadium is located in the back of beyond. Who is this Charlie? Is he any good?

I am a season ticket holder too. Perhaps I am missing the point. I just think that if a short journey puts people off then they didn’t really want to go.

Sorry don’t agree, I am a Coventry City fan, I support my team whether it is Manchester United or Forest Green Rovers and the travel for each game is the same.

if that is the reason that fans don’t go then the club is doomed no matter what, thank god for those that travel long distances from around the country. Its three miles to the ground from the city centre which makes it 6 from anywhere in Coventry, 1or2 from Bedworth and 6 from anywhere in...

Just look on here, there in a demand for new players, a CB, DCM, LWB, maybe another keeper, if we had just one more in attack....We need to push on, we need to progress, what if we got to the premier league? Any club that stands still will be overtaken by those that did go for it. It’s...

How do you solve the ticket pricing issue and get fans to games and still provide the club with revenue that it patently needs? The issue here seems to be match day pricing and unless I am mistaken the C category games are £20, which I believe is about the cheapest in the league, and is...

    Loan Players

Whatever his issues were his game against United in a 0-1 loss was superb only to better it at WHL where he picked Spurs apart. He went on to have a good career and we missed out on a very decent player. He wasn‘t quick but could he pass the ball to a Sky blue shirt!

Interesting post and one that has merit IMO. Very few clubs can look a month ahead let alone a generation. What Hill did was reinvent the wheel in terms of the marketing and how to galvanise the City. There is an argument on here that the population of Coventry is multi cultural, that many are...
