    Maguire-Drew

Injured or dropped out of squad yesterday? Appears to have great close control but leaves us wide open on right flank because he doesn't track back properly. Not having a pop at him at all, think he's got quality & will play a decent role in our squad for rest of season. If Robins did drop...

Love Benno's comments: apparently Biamou is being pulled around like a rag dog...!

Anyone fearing a realistic bid for McNulty?

Exactly as I see it, Astute. Don't want Willis to go, but if McNulty gets injured then our promotion bid stops there. Another striker who can chip in with goals, even if not as regular as him, makes all the difference.

Anyone fearing a realistic bid for McNulty?

Anyone fearing a realistic approach for Mark Robins? Win over Stoke will have made some take notice of his achievements here - has shaken up a relegated squad, coped with injuries to key players, got the best defensive record in the league. I think he has some feeling for the club (and...

    Biamou

Have always liked Biamou - first time I saw him was Swindon away when he he caused them problems right from the whistle (and got into good scoring positions twice in the first 10mins). I think our players appreciate what he brings to the team, but Stokes made some thinly veiled criticism of him...

Can see why Robins has taken JMD off and put Dion on, but still think Shipley is a weak link in our side at the moment...

Thing about Burge today was that he almost cost us more than one goal - one of their players charged down another kick which then went sideways across the area and there was another occasion when he only just cleared the striker. He just takes too long to clear it. Having said that, don't...

C'mon then who's in the home end tomorrow?

Me - am lucky enough to have family in Exmouth, so short journey on train (lovely views of Exe estuary) straight to St James Park station, right outside the ground :)

Reid's Loan Expires on the 6th

That went through my head as well... God, supporting City can make us very cynical sometimes! Looking at the loans Robins has signed, looks like we will be trying to ship him out on loan elsewhere a.s.a.p.

Brilliant result. Perhaps the best thing about it is that (although we rode our luck for the last 15 mins) it doesn't feel like a complete surprise. We are a tough proposition at home and there will be a fair number of teams in higher divisions hoping that they don't get drawn away to us in the...

    Kwame to Sutton

Good news - frees up at least part of a wage for a striker Robins actually wants. Good luck to Kwame though, feel sorry for him (after back luck with injuries) and want him to bounce back and succeed elsewhere.

Match Thread Carlisle United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Dec

Not overly confident looking at that team Seems lacking a physical edge in midfield / up front. Also, Davies aside, not much height. Hope Carlisle don't have lots of players who are good in the air, we might be in trouble. However, if we actually try to keep the ball down and pass it around...

Strange to see McDonald not in the squad though? Perhaps his injury has flared up? Played with an injection to get him through the last game, Football Manager style? Mcdonald's wife/girlfriend is having a baby - so his absence is not due to an injury I think One of you can log in / post faster...

Transfer Rumour Apparently close to signing 2 players

Willis is one of those players we take for granted a bit. Would be a shame to break up a good partnership at the back, but with Tom Davies looking like he should be a regular starter (he is dominant in the air for a start) plus Dom Hyam doing pretty well when called upon, cashing in on him would...

    Biamou

Agreed. We need to keep getting the ball to his feet to get the best out of him. If he avoids injury I think he will score at least a dozen more goals for us this season.

    Biamou

We love to criticise our own players on here! I don't Biamou is a waste of space at all, however I would not have him as a starter after the Jan transfer window. McNulty is showing signs of repaying Robin's faith in him: he is good at getting in snap shots after turning quickly. He could easily...
