He's a far better option than Dykes.
He's got pace and movement, his finishings appalling, but I doubt it's ever been as bad as Dykes 2nd half effort that ended up on Fomeshill Road.
Genuinely amazed that anyone who's watched us play can think selecting Dykes was a better way to trouble our defence rather than playing Kyogo.
Credit where its due though, after Norwichs antics Blues were quite refreshing in trying to keep the game going even with ten men and only going down...
Not the point I was making, my point is when assessing the progress or otherwise of a player it seems illogical to want the coaches excluded from the argument.
Wilson definitely regressed.
He was far better in his golden gloves season than given credit for and his stats show that.
By the end of last season he was marginally better than Collins.
Does he do set piece attack and defence?
I know he got some praise, quite recently when we scored from one but didn't know if he also works on them from the defensive side.
while I could see that being the case in some instances Moore and Wilson were decent over a fairly long spell.
I know Moore had some personal issues and I think Wilson was much better in his golden gloves season than people give him credit for
That's a fair point and he should be part of that conversation
For me the fact Lampard has kept him while others have departed suggests he has something about him, but again, thats just guesswork.
