    Investment on the Horizon?

Nope. I knocked a spreadsheet when I first saw the numbers. Even with the most outrageous assumptions I couldn't get close to the costs in the accounts. Cannot prove a thing; have no evidence; but I smell a rat.

Another Nice..but this time in Berlin

Too true - I could see this coming. EU disappears into its own rectum; Labour swerves to the mad left and you get the nasties as a result. I'm hoping that we've seen some signs that Trump isn't going to do half of what he promised.

Did you use the wrong spelling of discrete/discreet deliberately because we were talking numbers? Top marks if you did.

What kind of a person posts this? Let's look at the evidence: 1. New member with 19 posts; 2. "please keep swearing to a minimum there are women on this forum and it is a bit common" 3. Ludicrous claims And now a joke. Hmmm, methinks I smell a troll. Did you remember to use a different PC...

I don't even need to run that through a model. A sample size of 10 on a population of 1 million? Hypothesis failed. And even that assumes that you selected them randomly from the population, and didn't, for example, just select 10 people who had already met your hypothesis. I don't believe...

No, I'm a statistician. How big is your sample size?

It never ends. When the Berlin wall came down I thought that we were starting a new era of peace, love and understanding. But it seems that people just can't stop being horrible to each other.

She didn't let in a million terrorists. She let in a million people, many of whom were genuine asylum seekers, some economic migrants and some who were terrorists.

    Investment on the Horizon?

I don't believe those numbers in the accounts come close to the salaries of the team, a few coaches and backroom staff - we must be paying a big chunk somewhere else in "salaries" . Otherwise, as you say, it doesn't add up. The club breaks even; even after paying £x for consultancy is my guess.

    Investment on the Horizon?

Bloody hell it's like a playground on this thread. May I be the first to remark that "what you say is what you are?"

    Investment on the Horizon?

Scunthorpe made a loss of £3,179,015 in 2014/15 and a loss of £2m the year before. I'm going higher.

    You're the chairman

Nick is right. We are where we are and nothing that anyone does can change the fact that SISU will go only when they want to and until then they will be putting no more money in. But that isn't the real problem here - indeed I actually think it's a good idea to have a sustainable profit-making...

What's your favorite Christmas song/pice of music

Yeah, love the Polyphany too - Monteverdi; Palestrina & we always listen to the Allegri Miserere on Christmas morning. I always say when asked about Christianity that I like the architecture, the art and the music. Shame about the made up stuff.
