In all fairness to Allen at 30 years old does he really want to be resigned to the bench for another year or would he rather try to potentially look to move to a club where he's guaranteed to start.

Donning my tin foil hat here. If Haji is deployed at LW there's little chance of him featuring regularly in the WC given who's ahead of him. If he's starting week in week out at CF however... possibly a different story.

We'll see. Difficult to say that when realistically if a club comes in and meets the club's value for a player they will almost certainly go. Ultimately though I hope no player we actually want to keep will actively push for a move away during this window.

Simms' shots per 90 last season was 2.8 and this season is 2.4, slight dip but nothing overly major. His conversation rate is down from 15.5% to below 10 though. He's quite obviously struggled this season and the tactics have nothing to do with it.

Granted we often are unimaginative in how we progress the ball up the pitch but not sure I agree with this. Simms and Wright are regularly very static when deployed in the middle and BTA/Bassette make aimless runs, often into an offside position.

He's been error prone all season to be honest. He switches off a lot and without Saka supporting him very much struggles.

He's actually played very well these past couple of months and fits in nicely with how FL wants us to play. He's probably earned another year here.
