Match Thread Coventry City - Crewe Alexandra Match Thread - Saturday 30th Sep

Kelly and McDonald impressed for me, we got lucky with the free kick hitting the bar. Nazon is very hit and miss but it was no coincidence that the chances flowed when Beavon came on. Crewe were neat and tidy but Beavon stretched them and bought Kelly Evans and Jones into the game. It was the...

Overnight from Riyadh, a few hours sleep and my wife says let's go to Pizza Express in town for lunch. Out at 2.15, over 1and a half hours to get out of West Orchard car park and just got in the ground! Let's hope the second half is a good one!

    Player Ratings vs Swindon

Yes those that attended were simply magnificent, that was not my point. My point was aimed at the quantity not the quality.

    Player Ratings vs Swindon

pusbccfc, thank you for sharing your view, which I obviously disagree with. The fact that we haven't won at Swindon in a long time is not a factor in fans going or not going. In league 2 Swindon is one of the closet games we have and they are likely rivals for promotion and for the division a...

    Player Ratings vs Swindon

Well done to the fans that traveled but I must say I was disappointed that just over 700 made the journey. Its one the "glamour games", relatively close by and we are near the top. I am heeding your call to arms on Saturday, Bawtryneal and hoping to do both Barnet and Accrington.

    Coventry Airport

Much too simplistic, whether we should have moved can be debated but what can't be denied is that the club/stakeholders/owners have contributed to an absolute clusterfuck. Anybody who finds the Ricoh an inconvenience should be reminded what the alternative is.

    Lee Burge

How about a sensible solution that negates pissing off his team mates and handing over possession and takes the pressure off himself? Roll or pass it out to a defender and play it out from the back.

First Ever Cov Match You Saw ?

it was a very good game, going toe to toe with a very good Spurs side. You can see the highlights on you tube. I had a season ticket in the west stand row D seat 21 and as a nine year old I used to get the 26 bus from Henley Green on my own, buy a program and a orange squash and a mars bar...

Name one Division 4 side in the history of the game which hasn't been thin on quality?

Which areas of Cov or out of town?

Although I live here in Riyadh, my home is in Nuneaton and after the cup final in April the KFC at Bermuda ran out of chicken! The reason? too many Coventry fans stopped off on their way back home and overwhelmed them. So Nuneaton is Sky Blue!!!

    Appeal granted

Nothing has changed. We still play Cambridge tomorrow, the club needs our support to survive more than ever before and we still have shit owners. Why the fuck is anyone shocked by this latest announcement? it is like you would be surprised to find out you need air to breathe.

We beat them all the bloody time at HR during that period and they were a very good team! So were we and never forget it. Coventry City beat Chelsea often....

First Ever Cov Match You Saw ?

The first game I recall was versus Fulham in October 1967 and it was a bottom of the table clash at HR and we got stuffed 3-0. I went to a couple of games in the run in in division 2 but have no memory of either. What I do remember as clear as day is taking a milk crate and being at the front...

Have we sold 5000 season tickets ?

We have never averaged 8k when playing in Coventry since the First World War. Yes in Northampton. We averaged 10k in the early eighties due to the all seater stadium and hooliganism and general football disenchantment. That doesn't take away from the point that as a city we are not as supportive...

    Steps removed. SISU and CCFC.

In supporting your club you are categorized as "sheep"? Surely the desire of any fan is to ensure its survival? Fighting to keep the club alive is the action you should be taking and the best way to do that is getting behind the team. I AM SHEEP

    Andreu's injury

I hope Andreu is going to be ok! Sorry Johnwillomagic, but is there anybody else who gets irritated with the Meh's, the my bad's, the hollibobs? Shows how far the English language has fallen? Glad I got that off my chest.
