Thinking about Godden. I'd do the reverse of that. Play him from the start when all the other players are at their sharpest. See what impact he makes with everyone at full tilt. We do seem to start quite well recently and then fade away allowing opposition to grasp the game. Bringing Godden on...
There's the opening post that comments on his "loose passing" and "lack of winning tackles". Not really saying he can't do either.
And there's one saying the poster doesn't think looks fully committed. That's just an opinion.
Anyway, regardless. This is a rating thread for one match. He was anonymous in that match and so gets a low rating. There's not much can be argued about that surely.
But most if not all were brought back into the fray on the bench and maybe get minutes at the end. That can be done in the U23s as well. Rose has been sat on the bench and not played at all.
Yeah forgot DaCosta.
It is a bit weird. We use it to keep fringe players playing (Hilsner, Jobello, Eccles etc) but not to help injured players regain fitness and match sharpness. I don't get it.
Thinking as I lay in bed last night.
Anyone noticed how we don't use the U23s to give returning first team players minutes before they return to the first team?
Rose
Dabo
Kelly
Walker
Godden (maybe?)
I would've thought it would be beneficial for them to be playing a few minutes in that...
