    We need action not ideas

A peaceful protest outside a "home" game, with more people outside than in, is to me the next logical step. Polite lobbying of those going in, a request to the visiting fans to refuse to travel, and an invitation to all other clubs' fans to join us could make it quite newsworthy. Chelsea fans...

Same subject to be discussed on Jeremy Vine's Radio 2 programme in the next hour. Calls invited.

Football League are Asking Questions About the New Stadium

To me the interesting bit of the article is the FL asking the club about their plans to "return to Coventry" - not the "Coventry area". If a return to the City is what the League expects after sanctioning the ground share, what will happen when the club announces a site nine miles away?

Less than a year to build??

I think anyone who believes the club has plans to build a temporary stadium is misguided. Temporary no, cheap yes.

Rooney £300k per week: You really couldn't make it up

It's the greed of the player that makes me angry. When you're already on 250k a week and you ask for MORE!! How can he possibly need any more money?

    Notts County Match Thread

The weather could ruin this game. it's going to be VERY windy. Looking forward to it though.

    We're a complacent lot....

The problem is the 90 / 10 percent division amongst the fans re a boycott, so there's no unity. Completely respect the individual's right to choose and all that, but if no one had attended the first few games at Sixfields I really believe we'd be back at the Ricoh by now.

Pressley not happy with Clarke at all

Leon didn't run the show to get his 18 goals, but slotted into a great system created by a brilliant manager and some hard working young players around him. When he disappears without trace at his new club it will serve him right.(Although will he care when he sits at home counting the umpteenth...

We lost 4-0. I had a great day out. My videos.

What I really love about this is that after months of discussions, ideas and plans to draw attention to our situation (culminating in a brilliant protest on Friday I must add) it's a video of City fans just being City fans that has unintentionally snowballed the whole thing and got the world...

Can we organise a similar protest for the Notts C game?

No doubt someone will appear on here soon and knock the idea but PLEASE let's go with this at Notts - it's a brilliant idea. A protest with a well known charity benefitting (rather than being sued!). Planning to take two of my teenage kids to this game and have just mentioned the suggestion to...

An example for Sixfields and beyond!

Think Notts County away is the next obvious one. Looks like it's going to be a good away following and we're getting a good reputation for solidarity away from home.

New shirt sponsor unveiled this afternoon

Exactly. NEW SHIRT SPONSOR! Says the headline (er... For one game only for a bit of cheap tv advertising.).

    Issues Could Be Solved...

Floundering indeed. Usually clubs announce new stadium and show artist impressions when they've got a site and council approval. We haven't even decided which bit of land we'd LIKE to buy, let alone decided which council we're going to do battle with. What a joke.

    Issues Could Be Solved...

Absolutely bang on. So many hoops to jump through to get planning anyone can see it is very very unlikely it will ever be granted. If this is really the site SISU are banking on they truly are on the ropes surely?

Your stories of meeting players (that no one else is interested in hearing).

A mate and I used to cycle over to Ryton in the school holidays. In those Wallace and Ferguson days you were able to just wander in and stand pitchside to watch the training. Anyone else remember how great Ron Wylie was? He'd always chat and encourage you to get autographs and even took us in...
