    Regardless of 'ownership'!

Certainly not when Mr Fisher was speaking :)

    Regardless of 'ownership'!

Although to be fair, given his track record, no one would believe it if he confirmed it, crossed his heart and gave his best Brownie promise.

How much would it take for SISU to sell CCFC?

Is there a version of that that makes sense?

    Regardless of 'ownership'!

I didn't realise that all those clubs had also been moved out of their home cities/towns by their owners. How did that pass me by???

    300 season tickets sold

As I say, depends what cost it comes at. I gather that Joy sits on the Takeover Panel. Might get a bit embarrassing if she's called in by a Select Committee for example. Perhaps there might be a bit more focus on their investors, something that they might not welcome. Etc, etc. Some...

The Directors and the "shadow director"

    300 season tickets sold

I think that there's a valid argument there. The way to fight that is to use all the weapons at our disposal, given that "football clubs are different". I'd paraphrase your argument to be that SISU would liquidate the club if the benefit (in their mind) of showing how you don't back down...

    300 season tickets sold

But that's what I don't get. I think that had they behaved sensibly, SISU would have been able to buy the Ricoh over the last few years - I can't prove that, but I can't see any reason why the Council/Higgs wouldn't want to sell to a "trusted partner". If we accept that that opportunity has...

    300 season tickets sold

My tongue was firmly in my cheek, as you know. I'm generally a great believer in the cock-up theory of history, rather than the conspiracy version and SISU's recent track record lends much weight to that view. The lack of rationality is certainly an issue though. In my view our only hope is...

    300 season tickets sold

No. There comes a point where it starts to get difficult to blame all of SISU's actions on ineptness, but what is the alternative? Are they secretly supporting NOPM? Conspiracy theories on a postcard please.....

    300 season tickets sold

I think that we sold about 7,500 season tickets last year. The poll that we had on this site, seemed to show a fairly consistent 8% support for going to watch games at Northampton. Now this was very unscientific, but if it can be used as any kind of guide to this season, it'd suggest season...

Forget SISU And Concentrate On What We Love

There is one part of this that I agree with - "we must think with our heads and not our hearts". My heart says to go and watch the games. My head says that that would give SISU the support they need to continue with the dismantling of our club. Head wins.

Your Favourite player who was actually shite

Memories differ..... I remember him scoring a superb goal at the Baseball Ground on his debut. I think that might have been the first time I saw (we wore?) the chocolate brown away kit.

We bought Moldovan as more the "finished article". As I recall, he cost about £3.5m. Always seemed a bit odd that he was signed when Dublin and Huckerby were going so well.

Your Favourite player who was actually shite

That is correct. I think that the theory was to get him over here and then sell him on at a massive profit.

Here's a romour about the SCG

I thought you might want to be "different" because your "source" gave you a very specific incorrect fact that, one could only assume, was intended to paint members of the SCG and the SBT in a bad light. I'd thought that you might consequently have felt "used" and so free of any obligation to...

I love the wording - "what we are allowed to offer". Allowed by whom? The UN, the EU? Answers on a postcard......

Well Lloyd wasn't the most skilful play ever, but I can't think of many players that could have done a better marking job on Hoddle in the '87 final.

Here's a romour about the SCG

So given that it has now been made clear that your "source" was telling porkies, do you feel at liberty to divulge his/her name?

It often seems that the people who proclaim that they don't care about "politics" are the ones that complain most about the way the government is running things, yet appear unable to see the irony...
