Strikers who would do a job

18 month deal would of been the only way, he would of had options and as we know know he did. What's the betting we played hard ball over a 6 month deal. Onto the next player now but he could well of bridged the gap we needed to close

Strikers who would do a job

Makes two of us. He was one of my summer targets I would of liked us to have got also, but Justin Edinburgh gave him a new deal. Northampton captain too. Been there got the T-shirt.....

Strikers who would do a job

We've possibly missed out here on a good goal scoring bully who gives a outlet. Would of been perfect to take Biamou out the firing line. Yeah he's 35 but he's still got it, worshiped at Northampton. Swindon doing some reasonable business this window

Barnet have today appointed Graham Westley as there manager Swindon have signed Northampton striker Marc Richards on a free, 18 month contract. Apparently 2 promotion candidates were in for him.

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

hopefully MR has a ace up his sleeve but cannot help but think we've missed out here

He may not need too! [emoji106]

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

Lol your the one who suggested that paying Tom Pope 4/5k a week was no issue given the compensation money from Man Utd for the young lad who's just gone to old Trafford. I'll leave it there. We're on different wave lengths completely.

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

Well naturally I'm sure the club would try a 6 month deal but promotion if far from guaranteed so we could well be going again in L2. He knows where the goal is and is a bully up top. He's never been blessed with pace so none to lose. He's played a minimum of 30 league games alone in recent...

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

In fact I'd be very disappointed if we're not in for him. He's the answer that's become available in this January window for a free signing to relive Biamou. Marc Richards - Performance data by competition

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

This suggests Alex Revell is staying and he'd be the ideal man to get instead of Revell Think he's played a lot of games, was Northamptons captain too prior to jimmy arrival. A fantastic scoring rate at this level over a long career, yes he's 35 but well worth a 18 month deal. Because he's...

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

My train of thought is of a individual who'd not accept 12 weeks work (short term deal), I'd be seeking a 18 month deal if I was as good as what the side thought I'd be. The type of contract your offering is for a man returning from injury with his fitness to prove. Or of that more suited to...

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

Sisu don't come into this conversation to me... I'm not disputing the previous failed tried and tested route however my point is who you breaking the bank for on a short term deal? It's all very boom or bust theory from you in a notoriously difficult window.

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

Definitely, but he divides opinion on here. It's on record from me I thought we missed out when he joined Cambridge last year. Scores, powerful, a outlet and a real handful, not the prettiest to watch but effective. Not sure he fits Robins style of football but he's what you need...

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

That's a good breakdown of the side. I said very early in the season we don't look like scoring as a side... we still don't. Like you said it's moments of magic that have been responsible for the majority of the goals. We've had a few team goals obviously but it's mainly where the individual...

    5-0 Ponticelli with his second.

So we need a no9, who, and by what means?

Exactly there no logic to paying for a ageing Tom Pope effective as he is at this level when there's strikers of a similar size and can do the job younger and worth the fee.... should we be able to finance it

I'm guessing we won't be petitioning for super Stuart Beavon to start like Ponticelli

    Today's Highlights

I'm gonna defend Willis here and suggests he was likely surprised to see Burge there, there fore minimal communication likely needed initially as Willis was goal side of the ball. The moment Willis sees Burge looks to be claiming it Burge applies the brakes and so does Willis allowing the...
