I like the fact he's got the club at heart but unfortunately bar a crunching tackle he's a liability. Hopefully it's match fitness after limited action and injury but a fear he's not up to the level.

15 games to save his job.

Any manager at this level will be off bar Paul Tisdale or John Coleman possibly but even he did when he took the Rochdale job for 12 months and managers will be sacked for a few defeats in a row in the modern times. I don't feel a deep rooted foundation as you say but I'm happy to let him...

    WE are gradually getting worse

No it's because the pitches are shit in L2 home and away so the long ball is adapted over the winter months.... The football on the deck will return when the grass does in L2

Because Willis looked lost when he's played right back this season.... tho he looked lost today to be fair like the defence as a unit.

15 games to save his job.

That's a good idea, a new manager comes in and brings in his own players in 2 year deals and them we sack him in 12 months if he lasts that long. Success isn't built overnight and our fans expect success instantly. At some point you have to build over time. Let him build.

Kid was a liability today. Not a surprise to see him targeted by Accrington. As I said in my ratings. Sold more times than a old rover. He and his brother are unfortunately out of there depth in the professional game. Height is a issue unfortunately and yes he might bleed sky blue blood but...

O'Brien 5 - not a lot he could do with the goals. Boxed in at corners but safe overall with nothing to save. DiKE 2- that was woeful!! Kids a liability, reckless in the challenge even if a meal was made of it. Positional play poor, sold more times than a old Rover! At fault for the 1st goal...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 10th Feb

Talking to my son on the way out and I said they were more streetwise to the league and the arts of it, Baker says the same on CWR, then Robins says the same. Today's buzzword is streetwise! I'm gonna say fair play to Accrington for the 6 points they've taken this season of us. They were...

I think he can, granted he's not the quickest but he's enough about him and experience to put himself in the right areas to counter that. Options are limited currently to Vincenti, JMD or Bayliss out wide again. Or play DiKE further forwards and put Willis at right back

MR could play Vincenti in front of DiKE to offer protection, but then attack can be the best form of defence in JMD

Match Thread Coventry City vs Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 10th Feb

I think it's vital we win today, I understand the thoughts we'd settle for a draw at minimum but I just cannot see us improving our fortunes away that much. Massive day ahead and a heavy expectation with possibly a huge crowd all the ingredients ccfc have crumbled under at home previously...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 10th Feb

I don't know I think it's about time we showed some respect the other 23 sides in the league. Look at previous times people didn't respect sides like Newport or Forest Green and Accrington at there place. Accrington rightly deserves it

    CCFC v Accrington a modern L2 record

You'd like to hope we're celebrating a auto spot or fans are securing there play off ticket... either way it should be a big gate unless it's a dead rubber for us

Comparison of drop in spectators from relegation to league 2

True, but it they did a £5 offer and gifted tickets to kids I'm sure it be close. I see Accrington handed out shirts to the local school kids this week, hope it works for them in the long run.

Comparison of drop in spectators from relegation to league 2

Yes naturally L1 sides promoted up to the championship will see the rise in numbers given the size of the clubs they play against and followings they can take. After looking at the decrease in numbers from L1 to L2 I thought I'd check out the jump from the national league to L2 and was quite...
