Match Thread Coventry City at Colchester United Match Thread - Tuesday 13th Feb

--------------O'Brien-------------- Willis--McDonald--Stokes--Haynes --Vincenti--Bayliss--Kelly(c)--Reid-- ---------Biamou----JCH---------- Bench Burge, Hyam, DiKE, Shiperly, Barrett, Beavon, Ponticelli. Wasn't overly impressed with Reid's overall input but improved what we were doing. Felt...

A realist in this time of gloom

Firstly please don't take this solely as a pop at you but the fascination in the fan base that Carl Baker is the right formula to fix the issues is dead. 15 games left and he's still stepping up his rehab and fitness work... a million miles away from being fit and not kicked a ball in months...

What needs to be done for Colchester?

    Poll

He did, I think that was more a injection of confidence in his team as opposed to Mark Venus style of killing there confidence

    Poll

Sack the manager who brought them in and they will want to go anyway offers or no offers. We've more chance of the likes of McNulty staying and playing under MR than any other manager. As for JJ I'd be sceptical if any bids that replicate his value come in this summer given the injury he's...

    Poll

Should we not make the play offs I'd still give him another summer to add and build again. How many were walking in a Robins wonderland just 14 days ago? I didn't see many turn away going well I'm nots so sure on his tactics... I'll not sing that.

    WE are gradually getting worse

It might be why my patience is a bit thicker than most for MR currently.

    Throwing the season away

I do agree agree you'd be hard pushed to find a club to seriously compare us to. I think the crowds may fall slightly but that's consumer choice. We're all desperate for promotion but we look to be doing what the ccfc recent dna does and making hard work of it.

    Throwing the season away

I appreciate what your saying but I'm sure plenty of sides bounce back up at the second attempt as opposed to first time. Portsmouth are a classic case of a club that we like to use on here as a comparison and like us seen a alarming free fall through the leagues at a quicker rate than us and...

    Throwing the season away

It seems we've a given right to go straight up.

15 games to save his job.

I wouldn't bother questioning his vast footballing knowledge, he avoids any question I ask of him.
  12. steve82

    Max Biamou

He's a different type of striker... we'd have no outlet if Ponticelli was up too with McNulty so his return would be low.

Out of interest what loyal type of manager would you want or think we could get to take over the task of 1st time promotion?

Match Thread Coventry City vs Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 10th Feb

I cannot believe JD called out that attendance. Who was on the calculator, Trigger?
  17. steve82

    Liam Kelly =

Yes I agree, he played the holding role today and Bayliss as everyone wanted played the central role and wasn't in it to play the passes as were the rest. Kelly was poor but the issues are not all at his door. A imbalance squad isn't helping with a effective plan and player who look like...

    Liam Kelly =

I think were over analysing things. Yes we was poor today and off the pace still but was Liam Kelly really at fault for how poor the majority were around him? His distribution didn't help our attacking approach play but then neither did Bayliss with his constant poor passing today

15 games to save his job.

Very true the jury is out on a few but largely the permanent signings have been more hit than miss. The two young lads on loan ain't working currently it's fair to say. Robins himself was still hamstrung through the summer recruitment of the last mans errors. It's gonna take time to clear the...
