    Holding Wasps to Account

The CCFC/Cov RFC baked meats will coldly furnish forth the Wasps/CCC marriage table, gleefully reported by the Telegraph and BBC CWR

    Was injured even!

    Willis injured.

Those that believed Willis were injured would probably also believe it if Fisher told them the cheque is in the post and that he won't come in their mouth.

    Holding Wasps to Account

I am astonished at how lightly Wasps' part in our demise is taken. I wonder what the reaction would have been if, say Fulham, had slipped in on the blind side and taken over the ground built for us, then the academy intended for us. Yes I know SISU largely got what they deserved but CCFC were...

    Ben Stevenson - Brentford

Shows what Sisu have achieved. We have gone from Ranson apparently wanting to resist a bid from Liverpool for Thomas, to having our young talent poached by the mighty, err, Brentford! Who'll be coming in and picking us off in a couple more years? Dynamo Long Itchington?

Make Sure you have your tea before Bolton match

What a bunch of arse! The most significant thing is that they aren't apologetically announcing that there's no food on Monday but that there won't be any for the rest of the season. That isn't the caterers making a cock up, that is the caterers telling the club to f off. I wonder why? It's...

Match Thread Peterboro. v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 31st Dec

As Big Wade Dooley was fond of saying (about Scotland) two chances today: slim and none, and Slim's left town.

Will you be renewing/buying your season ticket next season

Seems fairly clear to me. A pretty straightforward question to a group of people who are presumably fairly keen on Coventry City as they are on a fans forum, asking, in the light of the current situation, who is likely to renew or get a season ticket next year. Result pretty clear as well...

Will you be renewing/buying your season ticket next season

Have said on here before, have supported them since I was six in 1969. Got a season ticket at Cov RFC when we were taken hostage in Northampton. After the Gills game last year got three half season tickets for me and my boys. That went well! I had some faith in Mowbray so this year forked...

Over a million in legal fees

The point is that a million pounds invested in the team would have put a successful one on the pitch and in doing so increased crowds and so on. Before they went to Northampton Tim Fisher called me after I answered a questionnaire saying I wouldn't support it as it seemed they were holding the...

Over a million in legal fees

Spent so far by SISU according to the article by Neil McInnes in The Guardian on 12 October 2016 subject of a separate thread. Seems too significant a point to bury in that thread now. I presume it is a reasonably accurate figure. And for what exactly? To prove that the company SISU were...

Playing SISU at their own game

Well I'll look into it certainly. Won't be buying 3 season tickets and a car park pass next year that's for sure. Been going since 1969 but there comes a point where you can't stand by any more. The 'manager' selling Ryton is that point for me.

Playing SISU at their own game

What is the legality, I wonder, of season ticket holders who have direct debits, cancelling them on the basis that they no longer want the product? We surely don't owe them for matches not yet played and could defend any attempt to recover the outstanding balance on the grounds that their...

    Hopeless

I know how you feel and I guess most of us feel the same. I've been here since 1969. I really wanted to go today with my lad either to Gillingham or to Blackheath to watch Cov. Glad I didn't go to either now. Nothing ever seems to change and despite the fact that most of the first 32 years of...

    Somerset and the Sunderland outrage

My point is that it is like the incident at Highfield Rd that Sunderland fans obsess about. Cov and Bristol realised with a few minutes to go that Sunderland had lost and as we were at 2-2 both of us were safe. As a result neither side tried to attack and risk conceding a goal. We did it...

    Somerset and the Sunderland outrage

Replica of our fiendish collaboration with Bristol City to send Sunderland down 40 years ago acted out yesterday in the cricket county championship. Three clubs could win the title. Somerset in beating Notts would win if the other two, Middlesex and Yorkshire, drew with each other. If there was...

    Tonights phone in

It amuses me the way that Eakin or Linnell react to the first hint of anti-club sentiment. They could listen to the point being made carefully then react in a considered balanced way. They could do that and they should do that. What they generally do is totally over-react and shout the caller down.

    Tonight v Rugby Town

Thanks to the group of players watching last night who were happy to have photos taken with my lad and others. RCC, Marvin Sordell, Andy Rose, Chris Stokes, Jodi Jones, Jordan Willis, great to see them so approachable. I know how much it would have meant to me when I was 14!
