It's also a worry that new players like BTA are very openly saying they don't want to play the position the have been put in. There's weakness in the management team. Robins approach seems to be having some favourites, brooding and dropping people in a huff. That isn't working to motivate.

If we're honest it's been a mess for a good while. Not sure what the best team is, chopping and changing continually, no flexibility on tactics, the basics just not there, motivation lacking. Robins has to own most of that. For now he has to try and shed his brooding negativity and try and...

If we are near the relegation zone in January, Robins will be sacked. My real concern is actually we have pissed all the money on a lot of oddball and/or bang average players.

Rudoni needs to be a focal point for us at the moment. He needs to make himself available and step up to the challenge. He clearly has potential. Let's see it.

What's worrying is we are poor all over the pitch. MR has absolutely no idea what his best starting 11 is. Will be interesting to see if Sheaf gets game time...

It's the lack of basics again. How is a press decided and implemented, stop crosses coming in, stop 2 on 1's, pass and move, and don't bring everyone back at corners...

Sheaf probably has a Muslim consultant. All part of their plan to take over the UK. Starting at Nuffield Health Leamington...

So are we all going for 'the Hound' for Bassette's nickname?? Really hope he scores today. will go nuts I suspect.

According to Gimoc Sheaf is out for 2 or 3 months. But is on the subs bench. Bill Gates or George Soros, right?

    Surely fucking not

It's just whether his deadpan manner isn't the greatest of motivators. We often start games pretty flat. No doubt he is a thoughtful manager with tactical nouse. Just whether we lack someone to get them stirred up.

Just keep Bassette, BTA, Wright and Rudoni together for a few games. Develop that relationship. And keep Thomas in there.

    Ben Wilson - well done!

Probably true but he has clearly improved significantly so who knows if he keeps putting the hard work in.

    Ben Wilson - well done!

I think Ben Wilson deserves a lot of credit for going away, as a bit of an unconfident mess tbh, and coming back almost reinvented. He has shown over a number of games now, a new composed and confident approach. Much calmer and more thoughtful while still making some fine saves. Sure lots to...

    Bertie Hound vs Simms

I must be missing the Simms skillset that would make him a good right wing player! His problem as a target man is that he is so limited. Not great at holding up and laying off the ball, not great in the air, can't really control the ball and take it past a defender, doesn't chase and hassle...

Match Thread Coventry City - Tottenham Hotspur [LC] Match Thread - Wednesday 18th Sep

We generally don't have a controlled pass and move game which puts strikers in good positions with a little more time. (Like our goal last night!) Strikers tend to have scrappy half chances. It's where Bassette, BTA and Rudoni showed promise and Wright and especially Simms look like isolated...

    Spurs player ratings

I'd agree with the subs scores and that cost us, as well as Spurs stepping up their quality.

1 season does not a 'top player at this level' make.

Good to see how mobile we were with Bassette, BTA and Rudoni once they got fired up. Wright has lots of potential but needs a step change in his fitness, he's very patchy. Simms looks an old school awkward centre forward in comparison. EMC has a long way to go. Not sure Torp will make it...
