    Oxford cup player ratings

Wilson 6.5 seems much more composed and confident, although wasn't really tested. Lati 6.5 did ok, lacks pace as a full back Da Silva 6.5 ok. Thomas 7 did ok, knows how to win a foul Kitching 6.5 solid enough, should have scored Eccles 6.5 gets in the game. Tried more forward passes but isn't...

Sheaf showed a few flashes of quality. And Wilson didn't have much to do but he just seems more composed and makes better decisions.

Bertie has a good turn of pace. Worked hard with signs of a brain. Quite promising.

    Victor Torp

I think that's a very generous take. Wherever he plays he has got to be quicker on the ball, want the ball and be more aggressive.

    Team Leader?

I think Sheaf is respected but I don't think he's outgoing, vocal or overtly passionate enough to motivate enough on the pitch.

    Team Leader?

Because we need someone on the pitch who can get around the players, giving energy, lifting heads, spreading messages, getting onto the ref, even getting the crowd going. Someone who looks at a team perspective and motivation on the pitch rather than just doing their job.

With the balance of this squad we have to go out with tempo, confidence and attack, else we will concede and end up chasing games, especially away. Somehow Robins has to motivate the team to have confidence and do it from the off, not after half time. Something he's struggled to do. Think...
