There is no excuse for not being fit to play - he was training at Sheffield and been here for a few weeks now.

Which other premier league team does he get in?
Could say that about most of our squad.Which other premier league team does he get in?
Actually didn’t think he was too bad. Played with a decent intensity first half particularly.
He was good for the first 30/35 mins. Then lost his way
Thats because hes about as fit as Steve Evans
Steve Evans has lost shit loads of weight.
We categorically shouldn't have signed him. Another very bizarre use of budget by Austin this summer.
He genuinely looked in terrible shape last night. Honestly looked like he was making an appearance in a Masters Football game.

I was keen on the signing if we got it done early. Needed to have a full PL-intensity pre season, not a kickabout with the tramps up north followed by a few pints. As it is, we did it about 10 minutes before we kicked the season off and, shock horror, he’s not in good nick.
He looked in better shape then McGinn, though granted that's not the benchmark for PLHe doesn't even look like a footballer looks in awful shape for a Premier League player.

Like when he ran the length of the pitch at about 80 odd minutes tracking the Villa player that broke away. If Milan had done it everyone would be creaming themselves. We categorically shouldn't have signed him. Another very bizarre use of budget by Austin this summer.

He wasn't great but nowhere near as bad as the usual suspects are making out.
He was signed because for 6m that was a decent deal.
I've just given you a few examples of the second half and likely missed some too. If you're so blinkered you refuse to see it, then that's on you.He was fine first half. Some ropey passes, some good ones. The shot he got off wasn't far off at all.
But his general condition is unacceptable. Second half he genuinely looked like that one fat kid in PE trying to keep up with his classmates being one sudden sprint away from going into respiratory arrest.
As others have said the role he was deployed in made little sense really. Putting him further forward also completely negates his strengths: threading balls through the channels, switching play and driving forward from deep.
But he doesn't really have the stamina, discipline or energy to play deeper so where does that leave him?

Ssshhhh. Be careful. Someone might hear you saying something negative about Tats and have a melt down. He's looks unfit but i didn't think was terrible or anything. Sakamoto and Lati on the right were horrible, there were 2 or 3 i thought played really well, Hamer i'd just stick in 'meh' with most the others.
