Match Thread Coventry City vs Aston Villa [LC] (H) - Coventry Building Society Arena - Wed 16th September (8pm KO) (7 Viewers)

Fuck it the fans will be up for it, the players will be up for it, it will have a proper rivalry feel to it. We’ll smash the shites 3-0

Bentley
Lati Thomas Mfuni Bidwell
Yirenkyi Torp
Sakamoto Hamer Gboho
Cherif

That’s about as changed as it could be right? Maybe we don’t play Bidders and put Mfuni LB and Pinnock in or Dasilva LB. Maybe Eccles is in there somewhere.

TBH this is still what I’m expecting Lampard to do, league fatigue will take priority.

Bidwell and Lati at full back

Awkward The Office GIF

Just needs to play a team that can start onwards and upwards, no Grimes and see a new pairing in midfield. I am genuinely excited to the new signings get a proper run out and praying they play well we can bench Grimes

This game could not have come at a better time after Sunday. If we can win convincingly it could be the kick up the arse we need so this game, although its the Carabo cup is huge in my opinion for our season

Got to play the loanee from Man City. I would stick with MVE to get his confidence up. Keep Thomas and Amenda at the back as they need to get as much game time together as possible. A win tonight is so crucial.

I’d like to see the team I want in the league:

Rushworth
MvE Amenda Mfuni Dasilva
Yirenkyi Hamer
Tchaouna Rudi Gboho
Cherif

Just to see. Maybe it’s awful but I’d like to know.

I actually think this is a good idea as if we win Frank can justifiably say to the others he is sticking with a winning team. Its hard to argue with that as a player who has been part of a team thats lost four in a row.

League has to be priority really and we can’t complain if we’ve only told 2/3 of the stadium really cos clearly as a fan base we don’t value the competition either. I’d love to see us full strength and give the cup a go as a break from what will be a relentless league but managers don’t see it like that really.

Its less the players playing, but where on the pitch they are playing that has boggled my mind. As i say, if true, could be bollocks, but the 8/9 changes mentioned above tallies

I'm hoping there are wholesale changes - Yirenkyi, Cherif, Hamer, Tchaouna, Gboho and Mfuni should all start.

But if we're also starting Bentley, Bidwell and Latibeuadiere (at RB) then I will fucking despair.

Given we're paying top fucking dollar for the tickets, Frank better pick a decent fucking side tonight!!! NO Lati or Bidders ffs!!!!

Bit worrying if true.
Suggests hes putting square pegs in round holes because the round pegs are no good in the round holes but we'll see

If we win, it's huge.

If we lose, I'll soon be over it. I just hope we have some decent performances, and I'll happily concentrate on the league.
