Tbf to Shmeee, he posts some absolutely insane takes, (and then only congratulates himself on the few that he gets right) but I don’t think he’s an overly negative poster!

Feel like a league table needed here. Stu and Saddle are defo champions league contenders. It would be boring if we were all positive all the time though. I’m finding it difficult so far this season 🤣

Grendel should absolutely be on here. Spent the entire summer purely on the political threads and only appears here when timesare hard. Who could forget the taxi thread.

He's like the Nigel Farage of SBT. Thrives in Chaos

On the day he mentions in passing a good Jay Dasilva performance, Nick will have to close the forum down.

Not sure which is worse. Misery revelling or expectation insanity. I guess both lead to the same sort of reactionary drivel.

I think it’s refreshing to not have a load of happy clappers who somehow think we’ll be fine. Not having Sky Blue tinted goggles is a good thing, only worn by nauses 🖕🏻

I think we need a "Deluded in negligence" thread.

David, CC4L and Cally get my vote

Tbf i said (in July) that we'd finish bottom two, not score all season, and Hull would finish 8th.

Think i'm looking quite the realist at the moment.
A negative nelly to me!

19th?! You’ve had too much sugar.

Absolutely. Anybody happy with performances and current position needs to have a long hard look at the actual situation, stop making excuses, hope things will get better (hope is not a strategy) and face reality; No points, no goals, no clue on our preferred XI or formation, squad not fit enough or with adequate quality despite 150m spent. Incomprehensible we are playing up to 8 of last seasons team in the starting XI. Sentimental bulls##t, as it was over Robins sacking, and as it will be if FL doesnt sort things out, and stays in post. Its a results business, simple. DK knows that, as does Lampard. It seems some are happy for good old CCFC to be plucky losers and content with mediocrity, but dont worry because Frank will get us back up next year (he wouldnt by the way)

Fed up with settling for 'happy clapping' - those that are, are probably ok with dishing out participation medals on sports day. The sooner we get a grasp of reality, stop kidding ourselves we're going to turn the corner just because, the better.

The odds are against us, especially after our start, but This season is only about finishing 17th come May. Its not about being being annailated by Brighton at home or the prospect of losing to f*****g Preston away (again) on a Tuesday night in November.

Who has said they’re happy with it? Precisely no-one. Some are just realistic about the challenge.

I do love how the amount we spent over the summer changes depending on the argument

There’s the challenge we all expected, players and fans alike. Then there’s the players not standing up to it. Our approach is just another problem. It’s like in school when you surrendered the ball because you’d rather the big kid didn’t come any closer to tackle you.

Not sure what you mean really. It’s not them not standing up to it, it’s just that inevitably other teams are better.

Nobody is saying be happy with it are they you absolute buffoon. But some level of proportionality is required in the response. This kind of bedwetting is crazy and, at the end of the season when people come back to posts like this... simply saying "well we were doing really badly!" will not cut it

What amuses me is the assertion that any one who isn't "happy clapping" (what a shit phrase btw) has some kind of elite mindset that befits supporting a Premier League team.

When invariably they're absolute sad-arses

You used a ball? When I were a lad….

You thought Ipswich would beat us to the title after we drew the Blackburn game

Agreed, mate. Different folks and all that.

Me personally, I’m on the fence till February, when I’ve seen enough fight or enough bottle dropping.

On a serious note, i don't really understand why people absolutely torment themselves with negativity..... whatever will be will be....

If we finish bottom on 8pts then i'll still be here next season

Yeah, it's weird. The same lot who were telling everyone that we'd blown promotion back in January. If we were mid table, they would be complaining we weren't upper mid table. If we were top ten they would be complaining we weren't top six.

I just ignore the fuckers.

THe moaning fucker who sits behind me was saying to his mate on Sunday that this was "the worse performance I have ever seen". He's said the same multiple times over the last few seasons. Still, because he can't currently slag off Haji Wright then he needs to wallow in some other kind of negativity. c**t.

Oh come on nobody would be moaning if we were mid table what hyperbolic nonsense.

They fucking would. Whatever the club do or whoever they sign or whoever the manager is there is always some c**t on here complaining about it. Seen it time and time again.

And yet I guarantee you all of these ‘revellers’ do nothing but get behind the team at matches. Those who I’ve been to games with from here can vouch for that.

We are bottom, not scored a goal and on -10 goal difference and you think its the same as us being midtable.

If you dont think people are frustrated and understand why you have no hope

Who isn't frustrated? We all are.

Obviously Weren’t at that Yeovil 6-2 game…

Weren’t even our worst premier league performance. Anyone remember Chelsea dicking us 6-0 the first time around. That was tragic

6-1 wasn't it? Kirkland sent off and Roussell getting our goal in a truly miserable game. Season we got relegated i think.
