Awoniyi has scored close to 50 goals in the Uk and German top flights and a good rate

Wright has played up to this season over 80% of games - he has had one other serious injury prior to this and still made it to top scorer

You need to get either the ball in the box or at least to the striker to score goals.

In the final third of the pitch we look clueless.

Simms record over his time here is just poor.

In the first season he scored in one of his first 24 games here and 3 in his first 32

season two he featured in 44 games and scored in 5

Last season he scored a hat trick on the final day which seems to have elevated him to Haaland levels of ability

To say over the 3 years he’s been here his record has been patchy is polite to say the least

his record is incredibly mediocre and in the first two seasons (especially season 2) just dire

Now we are supposed to accept he can step above the level he was at when he showed he was fairly limited

Did you forget to mention the season when he scored 19 in less appearances than Wright ?

I think he is not good enough, like I've been saying all summer. I was quite open to replacing all our forwards.

The notion that you hold of Haji being quality and Simms not are not supported by the stats though.
