Thats some propper weird fetish you have there fellaIn awe at the size of the blokes neck
100% got mixed up with the Cherif fee.Now that it's been confirmed at 9mil, that's completely changed my perspective. For PL money, it is a smart buy, still a risk with his game time over the last 2 seasons but plenty of upside to it.
Throw in the fact he apparently is a great personality, keep it up Doug. LB next please.
Yeah I think Simms 1 million percent starts against Arsenal depends how fit Awonyi is and how quickly he adapts to our playing style he might make a brief sub appearance.I’m sure we’ll be keeping Simms and Wright. Both will play games this season I think. Simms presumably will start on Friday.
Finger on the pulse.Haha! CWR this morning reporting the fee as 17mil.
Neither of the clubs disclosed the fee by the look of things.Haha! CWR this morning reporting the fee as 17mil.
Dodged a bullet thereOh yeah. All that panic about Jay Stansfield. Now what a load of cobblers that was
Really hope soEllis just might surprise a few people this season.
People forget that Everton only sold him, and Tom Cannon for that matter, because of their financial situation at the time. He may have been let go in later seasons for not being at the level, but they saw something in him.Ellis just might surprise a few people this season.

Thats no different to Awoniyi, Wright or BTASimms likes to run onto a ball - with our midfield being the dog bollox hopefully they can provide some of these - like Friday night![]()
Everton wouldn't know a striker if it bit them in the arse. After Beto they then signed thierno Barrythey did sign Beto for £27 million in that window
Fine but Simms is the only fit one at the momentThats no different to Awoniyi, Wright or BTA
Lampard has shown he has little faith in Simms by leaving him out in the 2 key playoff games against Sunderland, and by not offering him a new contract, (as far as we know) despite being in the last year of his current one.
Once Awoniyi is settled in, I think he becomes first choice, and we are expecting another CF to come in at anytime, so I can see Simms being on his way very soon, if not in this window then definitely by January when Wright will be fit.
Awoniyi is fit he played against leverkusen a few weeks agoFine but Simms is the only fit one at the moment
Hope so Simms needs back up !Awoniyi is fit he played against leverkusen a few weeks ago
I'd like him to go straight into the starting lineup against those wanker Arsenal CBs.Just to chip in - BigT looked very good in preseason - definitely fit and firing plus he does love a goal against Arsenal - Gooners on the other hand, hate him as he makes their CB’s look like under 15’s
Are Awoniyi and BTA both injured then?Fine but Simms is the only fit one at the moment
Are Awoniyi and BTA both injured then?
Only really in a 2 the season before last when we changed shape due to injuries. Never as the 1 up top really.Has BTA ever played striker for us? I know on paper he is but feels more like a winger/AM in reality.
He's a possibility, he hasn't played there because he's never been required to, and we only play 1 striker.Has BTA ever played striker for us? I know on paper he is but feels more like a winger/AM in reality.
He played there twice last yearHe's a possibility, he hasn't played there because he's never been required to, and we only play 1 striker.
But he's capable of playing anywhere across the front line.

Thought he ( BTA) looked a bit lost at times on Friday - possibly Frank could go 442 with Awoniyi and Simms ?He played there twice last year
We don't know that, there might be ongoing negotiations and maybe the move to bring in new strikers has been triggered because one is on the table but he hasn't signed. I don't think DK will end up being out manouvered by a football agent.by not offering him a new contract, (as far as we know) despite being in the last year of his current one.
Market Value 16 million!! Sell! He's a possibility, he hasn't played there because he's never been required to, and we only play 1 striker.

£15m for Simms100% got mixed up with the Cherif fee.
With all our strikers, there’s a nice blend of profiles and experience in there. If someone wants to pay £15m for Simms, I wouldn’t be against selling but his reliability is key to be honest. Which is probably needed with Haji and Awoniyi.
I think Simms starts with Awoniyi on the bench,Part of me really wants Ellis to start Friday (and think he will) because he deserves to.
Other part of me wants Awoniyi straight in there like a battering ram from the off.
Weren’t Stoke willing to pay £10m for Hirst?£15m for Simms![]()
