It would be good if you could auto insert the text when people add a link to a CET story (appreciate the danger of doing this for all links)

I have come to the age where it's easier to remember what happened last year than what was said a few days ago. So I frequently use the search engine. And usually with very little luck.
Google search engine is fantastic as it often guess what I am looking for when I type a few words, but the search engine on here is not anyway near that easy. Most often it doesn't find a match.
I would really appreciate a better search function.

Ban anyone who comes on here to peddle agit-prop for Wasps and/or CCC. This is a Coventry City forum so there is no need to let them wind people up.
Can't see any genuine Ccfc fan arguing with that. Any wasps posts should be deleted
Wasps are out landlords so any actions they take might have a bearing on us !!
Any post about Wasps should have a relevance to CCFC.
The only Wasps post that will be welcome on this forum, will be the one that says that they're bankrupt, and will be leaving the Ricoh Arena, and they'll be crawling back under the rock from where they came.

How about restricting threads to say 5 pages as the thread usually dies about then.
It's difficult to read all relevant posts on threads above 5 pages.
It will force people to start a new thread and reset the logic.

That's not how forums work really, it's just splitting the conversation up into multiple threads.
It's just that people get sidetracked when they have lost interest in the thread particularly if people give an alternative view.
It would be nice to see less bickering, but I know thats something out of your control, and something most of us have been guilty of.
I suppose supporting such a basket case of a club doesnt help, half of us wouldnt know how to be courteous to each other if we actually had some success!

Remove the 10 character rule so I can simply write 'wanker' after anything Wasps related without having to add 4 dots afterwards.

Perhaps some kind of scrolling news ticker, like on sky sports news, keeping us up to date with latest sports news, scores etc.

The Google search idea is a very useful one. Also increase the default number of posts per page so you have less chance of dullards entering a thread they don't care about to point out how many pages there are of posts they don't care about.

The only issue with using Google is that it needs the page to be indexed, sometimes it can take a few hours for it to index with Google so the newest content wouldn't show up.
I upgraded the search function recently so it is a bit faster, but I am happy to try the Google option

I think you should lose the search function. Will stop all those old posts from years ago re-appearing just because someone wants to prove you had a different point of view then, as if people can't change their mind....

You might as well delete posts after a certain amount of time then.
Sometimes you need to refer back if you are later proved right.
The problem with that is that some people pull back posts out of context.
For example... I supported Sisu a few years ago in making cut backs and generating efficiencies to support incomes. These posts continually come back at me as a Sisu supporter even though I have withdrawn all support since the move to Northampton.
