Didn't Paul Cook play for us?

Yeah. Think he signed from wolves? Tidy midfield player IIRC.

Ok let's try to emulate the performances of mid-table Donny and Gillingham. There is a reason he's been released.

Getting on a little / wants to move closer to home / wants to find a bigger club , yes lots of reasons, still better than what we have at present.

Or is in decline as a keeper, ask their fans he is quite partial to throwing one in. We can do much better. Rather persist with Burge.

Burge is quite partial to the odd mistake from distance, close, crosses too.

Yes we can do better however experienced keeper at this level does you some good.

Still, hes by no means shite, but I would not say go and sign him.

Yes he is, but as a young inexperienced keeper there is far more scope for him to improve. With Bywater, having in past seasons for West Ham, us and Derby been quite reliable, mistakes have crept into his game and at the age of 33 this indicates a decline in ability, concentration, etc. If he isn't good enough for Donny, he's not good enough for us.

Personally speaking I'd like an experienced keeper, plus Leon Clarke and Jake Cassidy (both of whom know where the net is).

Then a bit of pace down the flanks, a player with grit in centre midifield, plus someone to cover Reda if we're keeping him. So basically, a new team then. ;)

Jake Cassidy couldn't do it in League 2, no thanks. He's still living off that spell with Tranmere in 2012.

Loach is another vastly overrated keeper who has a penchant for mistakes. No thanks. Lonergan yes please.

Comedy gold, you bang on about mistakes in a keeper but then say Burge is fine.

Keep taking the pills, Loach overrated and makes mistakes please stop it your killing my sides.

Every keeper is capable of a mistake or two ffs and Loach would be a superb signing for any league one side on a tight budget.

I'd be happy with Loach as first choice keeper, would prefer Lonergan though.

I'd take Peter Clarke and while we are picking over Blackpools misfortune id also take David Perkins.

The chances of us getting McGoldrick are about as slim as getting Harry Kane on a season long loan. Be realistic please. Have to agree with Peter Clarke. Went up with Huddersfield and a CB that always gives his all. However have not seen him play for a while so I'm slightly scepticle. I personally wouldn't want Leon Clarke back, there's just no guarnatees with him and at this point in time the club needs consistancy. Scott Loach, Matt Tubbs and Izale McLoad have been mentioned. I'd agree with those signings but they're all under contract and with us having zero funds for actual transfer fees, signing them would prove difficult. Some of the players I'd personally like to see in our squad next year are:
Joe Lewis (GK) - Cardiff City - Possibly released?
Elliot Hewitt (RB) Ipswich Town - Released
Peter Clarke (CB) Blachpool - Released
Matthew Pennington or Ryan Inniss (CB) Everton/Crystal Palace - Loan
Miles Addison or Martin Cranie (CB) Bournemouth/Barnsley - Both Released
Giles Coke (CM) Sheffield Wednesday - Released
Matt Grimes (CM) Swansea City - Loan
Tomasz Cywka (RM) Blackpool - Released
Michael Petrasso (LM) QPR - Loan
Steven Davies (ST) Blackpool - Released
Dominic Samuels (ST) Reading - Loan

Consistently has made errors at Watford and then Ipswich, even had a word with an Ipswich season ticket holder who is a mate of mine and he said Loach isn't up to it. Can't get a game at Rotherham even though their first choice keeper Adam Collin isn't much kop, he clearly isn't a reliable keeper. I've admitted previously that we need a new keeper to replace Burge, but Loach isn't the answer. Since being selected for an England squad many moons ago, his career has gone into a complete nose dive.

I think TM will sign a three or four in the 28-31 bracket, probably who he has managed before, then you will see three or four who are younger with potential to develop.

He will finish it off with two to three long term loans.

Add a bit of luck and no major injuries and we might be contenders.

Steven Davies would be a good signing.

Joe Lewis is a good keeper, or atleast he used to be. Not sure how spending so much time away from first team football wil have affected his performance though.

Constantly made errors at Watford.. but got a England call up after playing for the U21s as first choice after Hart was illegible and on the verge of many a big move including one to Spurs which failed to go through as Cudicini to Pompey failed to go through.

keep talking out your arse as you seem good at it putting down everyones opinions / suggestions on here.

Yeah got 'an' England call up, was on 'the verge' of a move to Spurs. Once a promising keeper, now very much on the scrapheap. Just giving my opinion mate, agree, disagree, whatever. More often than not I'm proven right.

I am just starting a petition for you to be named head scout considering your always right about each and every football league player their is and know everything about their backgrounds and why they have not played for their clubs, no need for background checks on a player, you have the wealth of knowledge from FM.

LJC_CCFC for Chief Scout please!
