On a side note, from my limited lurking of GMK years ago, I always thought Bob Bones seemed like attention seeking childish prick.....and about as funny as lung cancer....

Neqinox! Now there's another blast from the past. I remember his forum well, must be about 15 years ago now? But was definitely a different one to the LAST site. Shame Johnny Barton closed that down, was by far the most hillarious forum.

gmk used to be strong on the football sruff. could always get a decent debate on footballing issues ccfc or in general.
where all ccfc forums are struggling is the dominance of the off-the-field stuff rather ccfc football matters.
the longest lists on gmk were Bob's and Curtis's banned aliases.
re: smiles mrs smiles was from hull don't think he's had to have his shots and move north.

I was a frequent lurker and less frequent poster on GMK and LAST before that. Used to make me chortle when GMKers referred to SBTers as "frothers", but never came to find out for myself until the demise of GMK. It's not as bad as it was portrayed, and certainly doesn't suffer from the kn0bs like fishy and SBS who ruined every single CCFC-related thread and dragged it down to petty name-calling.
Good to see so many familiar names on here, and whether it is related to the positivity of trying to keep TM at the club or not, it is not as "anti-SISU" as I had expected.
Looking forward to contributing more

It's not. Most on here are just pro-Coventry City.
And as for GMK? Well, I have to say it is the greatest ever forum with the word 'knee' in its name.
Apart from of course 'Knee,' which is a forum dedicated to the infamous battle of Wounded Knee in 1890 in the US state of South Dakota and 'Née,' which is an online forum all about Penelope Thompson's years before she got married to Mr. Farthing.
Besides those two and a few others, Gary' Mabbutt's Knee is the best ever forum with knee its name.
I'm sure there are loads of good forums with 'Gary' in their name too.

Anyone else play in the GMK football teams? Played against other Rivals boards.
One against Hull which Smiles arranged in Coventry, I recall; and one in Leicester against the Bentley's Roof lot. Badger, in goal, was abysmal....

LAST was great. I used a different nom de plume back then, but the Mary Mungo and Midge avantar, which became my screen-name when LAST died and the migration to GMK began. I still think GMK - at it's best - was unbeatable. When you could go onto other people's boards and they ours. West Brom, Leicester, Sheffield. Brilliant. Some of those threads were comedy gold

He's my FB friend too, but not heard a thing from him in ages. He used to get slaughtered on GMK and I asked him why he kept bending over and taking it from both barrels, but he never did come up with an adequate answer.
Think a lot of the stick he got was simply down to the fact he was admin and was a very easy target.

It was mostly Mole and his hundred other usernames that attacked him most viciously if I remember correctly. Then when he tried to come back at them he didn't have the necessary streak of evil to come out on top. He also shared a lot of his real life information which was suicide on GMK.
