Think we have many more important things to worry about than lines on the pitch.

So true. Sports franchises are all about lines on pitches.

Fair point, it is about more than that.

Franchises are also about ''rebranding'' stadiums, ''rebranding'' teams, making money, plastic fans, no local history or roots, making money, screwing existing local clubs that are historic but have fewer resources, 365 a year stadiums and making money.

Modern day football clubs are also about ''rebranding'' stadiums, ''rebranding'' teams, making money, plastic fans, local history or roots, making money, screwing existing local clubs that are historic but have fewer resources, 365 days a year stadiums and making money.

And badges on stands. And massive adverts outside.

He was right. It's about loss of identity. And we've lost ours at the Ricoh.

Think we have many more important things to worry about than lines on the pitch.

True. But their own stadiums in their own communities.

Your last point is interesting. You're finally agreeing with Fisher.

We could have badges at the Ricoh if we could be bothered.
All the seating is Sky Blue.
There's plenty of empty wall space to plaster CCFC stuff all over.
We have our own changing rooms that we can decorate with our memorabilia.
But what do we do ? We just moan about the situation rather than make a go of it.
We bite the hand that has been extended to us with court battles and talk of a new stadium.
No wonder people are leaving in droves and players can't relate to joke that has become CCFC.

I think you're forgetting the Ricoh is not, never has been and never will be our stadium. Wasps can do what they want because it's theirs.

We had to put the badge on the outside of thd stadium invthe middle of the night.

They would have got the badge up anyway after planning.
They put it up before they got permission.
It was done for publicity.
Why make it out it would never have happened ?

Like all of us, Fisher says things that are right and some that are wrong, there is nothing wrong in agreeing with him.

I don't think anyone would disagree with the club making money every day to fund the football team.

I was using the previous posters comments to highlight that modern football clubs are not too different to the poster's definition of franchise clubs, own stadiums and own communities were not mentioned.

They are totally different. They don't tend to move 85 miles from their current location, do they?

He's full of shit as usual. It's our way we've lost, nothing else and that's not down to franchising that's down to incompetent owners who see our team as nothing more than a vehicle for litigation.

As ever, it's all fault of one side, eh Tony? Won't disagree regarding your appraisal of SISU, but there are others who need to take their share too. There was certainly no need to sell to Wasps. One day SISU will be gone. Wasps have 250 years.

I was pointing out that the posters definition of franchises was not too different to modern football clubs.

Discussions on franchises has been done to death on this forum, it's hardly worth discussing again.

And what are you going to do to make sure others take their share of the blame? What is it going to achieve in benefiting the club? How do the other parties effect the club moving forward?

You're one of the ones who mock anyone who protest about SISU's ownership as a waste of time you want other parties to take their share of the blame which is infinitely more futile than protesting about SISU's ownerships. You have no stage to do it from (unless your keyboard is a stage) you can't give me one reason how it's going to improve the clubs situation and at the time you did have an opportunity to make your voice heard at a prearranged protest by the council before they voted on the decision to sell to wasps you left it to some of the SISU out shouty types to do it for you. You're the definition of a keyboard warrior.

Nothing to do with us categorically saying we have no intention of staying here at the Ricoh and we will be moving out come hell or high water?

Of course Wasps are right in what they have done with us having said we are leaving the Ricoh as soon as we possibly can. There would be so much of an argument to be had if we said we wanted to stay and remain at the Ricoh and then Wasps made all the changes, but we haven't said that, we have said we have no intention of staying.

If I were Wasps now I would be looking to change all the seating to yellow and black asap.

You sound a very bitter and twisted man, Torch.

I am not going to even reply to that comment, the same comment you keep bringing up ad nauseum. I have explained the reasning why and I still fully stand by that and it was the right and proper thing to do at the time to my mind.

I don't want Wasps here. Why on earth would I consider writing to Wasps asking them to change the seating?
