Why? You're the one who seems to run it.

I don't know, I'll have to ask the gestapo

Thanks mate. Also, am I allowed to travel through Northampton or should I take the long way round when attempting to go from Harpole to Earls Barton?

if you have an "I haven't been in sixfields" pass as issued by me, then I will allow passing through Northampton. But no stopping, unless it's on the hill ;)

Calm down children. We have a good away win and only 6 points off the playoffs to celebrate.

Phew. Glad we sorted that one out. I'll be in contact in the next couple of days to ask if I'm allowed to go for a bike ride on my day off, is that's OK?

That team representing Northampton today did well didn't they? Can't believe you've started supporting them though mate, don't try and hide away from it, I saw your messages of goodwill towards Northampton Sky Blues in the Rotherham match thread you cheeky scamp.

They only represent Northampton when playing at sixfields. Just to be clear.

Why would I be celebrating a win of a team who represent Northampton? That's what a large vocal group of fans on this board tell me anyway, unless its an away game of course. So does that mean we want this team that Sky Sports and BBC Sport call 'Coventry City' to win all games away from Northampton but we're not bothered about the ones played at Northampton? Its all very confusing.

So they still represented Northampton today then? Unless you meant to put "when" rather than "by"?

Well that makes perfect sense.

Out of curiosity, how old are you ccfc92? Judging by your username (and I could be wrong) would 92 be your year of birth? I was kind of hoping it would be closer to 2000 for my own sanity after your logic in this thread. No offence, of course.

The bigger picture? Great, that's fine. But asking people to explain themselves isn't. In my opinion. And you've highlighted your attitude perfectly by calling people who go sheep. You're 21. In life not everyone will agree with you and see things your way. A shock I know, but that's the way it is.

Maybe you should stand outside Sixfields and ask people to "explain" to you why they are going in? Or would you rather do that from behind your keyboard?

or.... see the bigger picture? don't be a sheep? do as you will, but try and think about what playing in Northampton means?

and what does it mean? Please attempt to answer the question without resorting to rumour and conjecture. No "if's, buts or maybes" either please oh wise one.

It means the club has been taken from the community. I've always said if we were at sixfields because we were waiting for the Ricoh to be finished for example, fair enough and I'd thank Northampton fc for helping us out in a time of need. However, we are being kept away out of spite, that is why I can't just accept the move. If those who go could even acknowledge this, then us "anti-sisu brigade" would probably be more tolerant of those that go.

I think that would be constructive. When people are so highly strung on their opinion, I often ask why they believe they have that opinion, and after they've finished spluttering and spitting feathers, they still can't give an honest reason. I find it easy to listen to both sides of an argument and make my own opinion, and if you look back through the thread, you'll find me ASKING people, especially Nick, simple questions. But only had tangent replies. So what you need to ask, is why when I ask a simple question, can those attending sixfields, not give a simple answer?

It isn't nit picking is it? Its people telling others what they can and can't do. People can't go to sixfields or but a shirt because they support sisu by giving then money but it's ok to do it if the bandwagon rolls that way. I agree that nopm is tedious.

just who has told others they cant go? i follow NOPM and will until the club returns home, i have said plenty off times that people who do go are misguided and supporting sisu's actions in taking the team away from Coventry but i have never told anyone what they can and can't do, having an opinion on what people SHOULDN'T do is not the same as telling people what they CAN'T do.

Too many people are taking it too personally in this regard (guilty conscience maybe?) and like Hobo said, while they're there they could make some noise to show they are not happy with the situation but they don't. i know Andrea B is happy at Sixfields because she can park her car easier but i don't think for one moment that is typical of Sixfields attendees. i suggested a couple of songs yesterday that they could sing, they wouldn't even have to do it while the match is on (as they are there for the team apparently) there is time before the match and half time. there aint that many there that they couldn't get together near by where Timmy sits and treat him to a few songs, instead of just sitting there as silent witnesses.

i think if they did show their indifference to playing at Sixfields the majority of our fans wouldn't judge them so harshly, if you believe they are being treated harshly.

ITT: people who enjoy telling others what to think get upset about others not thinking the same, while simultaneously accusing them of telling them what to think.

In a nutshell it means private companies can do what they like with the football team it owns and the FL can do nothing to stop them.

If nothing else, that should worry you as a football fan.

Despite your "I listen to both sides" claptrap your opening post shows that is clearly not the case.

On a related note, I don't go to Northampton because I don't agree with it but I'm also not pompous enough to tell other faceless names on the internet what I believe they should or shouldn't be doing.

I also feel I may or not be cutting off my nose to spite my face as any reason not to go to Northampton for reasons to get SISU out or force a quick return to the Ricoh are unfounded and based completely on conjecture.

I also cannot stand how some posters seemingly get smug about not going to games on here and like to let us all know by starting a new thread every 2-3 days about the same boring tedious subject with the same boring tedious responses from both sides of the fence.

However, if that's what this board has become (the same old boring shit whilst we're currently watching/experiencing the most exciting side we've had since the 99/00 season) then that's the fine and I guess its just not for me.

I do take offence at the stupidity of claiming the club is representing someone else because they are currently in a different place. Like someone has mentioned, the club apparently represents Northampton when it plays its home games and Coventry in away games. Just think of the absurdness of the statement and the absolute failure of logic. I don't even need to go into detail about the stupidity of that statement because of its offensiveness to my finger tips to type down such a response.

The worst part of this debacle with the off the field issues is the seemingly worrying kick some of our fans are getting out of us not playing in Coventry. They seem to use it as a justification for who is a better fan and who is killing the club and other nonsense hyperbolic sentiments. The smugness stinks. We get it, you don't go to Northampton because you care so much. Well done.

I wouldn't be as bothered if I didn't see the same tired shit on this board day in day out, that's why I avoid it normally these days but the hangover, the weather keeping me indoors and the SUPERB COVENTRY CITY RESULT made me come on here to have a look, yet you still have people on here arguing about the same thing with the same arguments that cannot be proven either way.

ask your mum, isn't she the one who usually picks you're clothes out for you?

Nah, she merely explains the difference between "your" and "you're" to me.*

*If you're going to use a hilarious Mum gag, don't be surprised when someone responds with unfunny pedantry and equal amounts of immaturity. You go girl.

Yes, the simple answer is they wanted to watch their team play football. As I have said many times.

Maybe you should've spent more time paying attention at school in general Tony?

Ermmm, my Dad is harder than yours. Errrmmm, I know you are but what am I? Takes one to know one.

Am I doing this right? Is this what they call 'banter'?

As I've said before, unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of debating football. The club cannot move forward really until the off pitch problems are sorted. For example today, brilliant result, and to the 1200 or so there, hats off to them on a day like today. But we have suffered two potential serious injuries, plus Flecks a doubt. Then we have the uncertainty of whether 3 or 4 key players will be sold. Then we have the stadium issues, then still existing?

My point is, even though WE ARE ALL PROUD of the current team, until the off field problems are sorted, the on field success is unfortunately meaningless :(

to be fair your (i think that's right, i don't know as i didn't pay attention in school) dad probably is harder than my dad. your other "banter" is a bit child like though, must try harder. try something original or imaginative.

to be fair, when someone starts picking up on spelling or typo errors, it's usually because they've ran out of relevant points
