It could literally just be as simple as ‘he’s a Championship keeper who looked good in the Championship but isn’t good enough for the Prem’. He would be the first player to be great in the Champ and not cut it in the Prem and isn’t even the only one in the squad who is struggling.

Not sure what the solution is however. We obviously can’t play Bentley or Wilson in the league but we also can’t have Rushworth costing us a goal or two a game every other week.

Him and MvE look shit scared every game. They might not be good enough but we won’t know until they have a proper go.

Never subscribed to the idea that he’s England's future no 1. Equally I think Brighton saw us coming. We paid a massive amount for an untested at this level keeper. We all got sucked up with the feel good factor of signing and keeping him.

Will he come good at this level ? I’m sure he will do. It’s just maybe we could have gone for a cheaper option that was premier league ready to help our survival.

It's clearly a confidence thing. It's not like he's letting in higher quality shots. He's letting in shots that he would've saved comfortably last season

Worryingly I can’t remember him making barely a decent save so far this season. Every shot seems to go in on target against us. It’s clearly confidence and he’s in his shell but unsure how he gets out of it

He's clearly feeling the pressure and it's causing him to concede the sort of goals he wasn't last season.

It wasn't comfortable watching him try to play out from the back this evening on a wet surface under a press either.

Someone called it, though, the goals going in and the errors made aren't down the the increase in quality, they're due to a lack of confidence and playing poorly.

He looked scared in the first game, and it's not really got better from there.

We all wanted him, but the fee was far too high, and I think it's weighing on him.

I was just saying this to my mate. He looks shell shocked before each game.

I was frothing at the mouth for Rushworth, but when it felt like it was t happening and we were linked with the Greek lad at hull, thought we were going to land on our feet.

Quite telling towards the end of the game where Pinnock could have passed it back to Carl as he was being chased down but decided to just smack it out for a throw. Obviously doesn’t have confidence in him right now
