Would like him to make a couple really good saves to give him some proper confidence.

I hope he doesnt touch the ball again all season

Looked more confident and assured.

Was similar last season, it took him a few games to fully find his form and confidence - the rest is history.

Let’s hope yesterday was his turning point and see the real Rushworth going forward.

Why didn't a player have to go off when he got treatment yesterday? Or did they and I missed who?

I remember Rushworth requiring treatment but can't remember the actual events that proceeded it.

However, the keeper doesn't need to leave the field if it was the result of a foul or it was the result of a collision and the other player involved also required treatment.

As Rushworth punched the ball away he was clattered into by a Sunderland player. I don't think the referee even gave a foul and thought it was a goal kick
