He's having a wobbly period, but we would have lost last night anyway. Created nothing after we scored, and a couple of half chances in the first half. Support him, we know he is a good keeper, and having seen Bentley this season, are we really calling for him to come in against Fulham. Behave

Last night was frustrating as it’s cost us the game and the pressure has clearly got to him this season but he will also definitely save us a few times this season.

No other choice but to support him and get behind him - hopefully he relaxes a bit once he gets his confidence back with some big saves.

As I’ve said already, and I don’t want to come across as some Nostradamus, but he’d never played PL football before and so no one knew how he’d take to it mentally. For that reason I wanted a Mat Ryan or similar on a 12 month deal just whilst we figured it out a bit. Bentley is substandard and that doesn’t help us.
I agree. Bentley was a pointless signing.

The super fan thing is pretty embarrassing too tbh.

Nothing to do with being a super fan, it’s about sometimes supporting our players, through good and bad. He’s basically one of the main reasons why we’re even in the Prem in the first place, yet seven games in some of our fans on X are calling him shit and a waste of money. It’s pathetic

They’ll be singing Englands No1, clapping like seals and cheering the fist pumps if he pulls off a save and we win Saturday. That’s what some of our fanbase have become. Fickle as fuck but it is what is it

How would you label his performances this season so far?
Being a 'super fan' and all.

Do you not agree with his point that a lot of our support are quick to turn on players (and managers) because you dont need to go outside of this forum to find a mountain of evidence to support what hes saying?

The point is we are all fans. All support the team. People express an opinion, get angry upset whatever. This 'they're not real fans' thing is so boring and Sick boy pulls it a lot.

It's a forum people say all kinds of shit they are still fans just like you.

It’s amazing how quick some our ‘fans’ are to turn on our of player of the season last year and label him shit.

Just embarrassing.

You had people suggesting we make a change to the manager who got us to the Premier League after only 5 games of the season as well.

He looks scared to death all the time, even dropping crosses and stuff. He needs an arm round the shoulders and loads of encouragement from the coaching staff.
We know he can be brilliant and we need to get behind him to get his confidence back. Everyone behind the goal needs to be constantly bigging him up in games.

No doubts he will come good, however the points he’s costing could be expensive come the end of the season. He should have saved the last 2 tonight, undoubtedly. But he’s young and having a wobble. Hopefully he sorts it sooner rather than later.
He hasn't really cost us any points, should have saved the 3rd, but the second was on MvE being weak

He’s probably lacking in confidence and feeling the pressure from the fee we paid.
Yeah, all of a sudden he has a huge amount of pressure on him because of the transfer fee and being a number 1 in the premier league.

We know he has the ability though, he'll come through.

Also an assist in the goal that delivered the first 3 points of the season.

I think it's more a case that you revel in negativity and must be pretty miserable.

I think we have to give him a chance. I hope he stops punting the ball from back to front, pass the ball through the defence. Easy for me to say that, MVE is just as bad, hey ho!

We wouldnt have lost. 2nd and 3rd goals were easily saved. Take those away, a 3-1 loss becomes a very respectable 1-1 difficult away draw. They offered nothing going forward bar their 3 goals. 2 of which should by saved by any keeper at any level.

The timing of the second goal is important to how the game panned out though, do you not understand that? Goals literally change games

We have no choice but to back him. But cant believe we spunked £25m on him whilst keepers like Martinez were going for less than £10m. Granted, he was never gonna come here, and hes injured now, but its perspective. He was a signing for the fans, and as it stands, its backfiring spectacularly.

For the manager and subsequently the owner by definition, won't change anything so we must back him.

Last season he oozed confidence and dominated his area. Was fantastic one on one and pulled off some great long range stops. This season he seems to have lost his confidence.
I noticed it in the tunnel as they came out in the Arsenal game when he looked like a rabbit in the headlights, although the whole team did that night, others seem to be growing into the league but Rushworth still seems to have that nervousness.
To be fair to him, I don't think it helps that our CMs are backing off to the edge of the area and letting premier league quality players take unpressured shots from just outside the box.

I didn't know that. Now I understand. However nothing changed in our performance throughout the game. We played the same way. Numerous times Spurs turned the ball over only for us to go forward and give the ball away.
