Match Thread Manchester City vs Coventry City (A) - Match Thread - Sat 5th September (3pm KO) (4 Viewers)

Well we can’t expect much here. Can we stick in the game for long enough perhaps? Clutching at straws I know

could be a massacre

Anyone know how to disassociate?

Rushworth
MvE Thomas Amenda Pinnock Dasilva
Tchaouna Onyeka Grimes Yirenkyi EMC

Strangely positive. 5 atb, tank & Yareneki in midfield with Rudi & EMC in front of them to play off Awoniyi. Rushworth to have a Leicester away type performance to kick start his season…. 4-0 loss

5-0 and Hull/Ipswich fans coming on for a laugh

I'll be watching this with my hands over my eyes

There is no room for sentiment and I would be making wholesale changes after the limp performance against Hull, but who comes in?

MvE and Grimes shouldn't be playing, but who instead? KKH and Onyeka seem injured. I don't care about the result, but no position is safe. If this is another weak effort then he needs to be prepared to drop some favourites.

Oh great, a whole week seeing Coventry fans referring to Manchester City as ‘City’ 🤢

3 atb, Box midfield - drop Grimes and Tchaouna. Onyeka and Pinnock in. 0-4.

0-6 if he sticks with a back 4.

Got my match ticket and an early train ticket, can't wait for a day sesh in one of my favourite cities and to experience my second world-class stadium in the space of a month. Watching the Sky Blues at the Etihad is going to be surreal to say the least.

The match? Expecting similar to Arsenal, most likely they'll barely get going and win 3 or 4 nil. If we're unlucky they'll go for it and it'll be miserable. Us getting a goal feels like it would be an achivement, any points would be a miracle.

Expecting 5ATB and very defensive.

3 at the back with wing backs. Onyeka and Yirenkyi in front of them. Rudoni and Mason-Clark behind Awoniyi. Fire ourselves up, snap into them, hope that it's not Carling on tap and pray for a miracle.

Having reflected on Saturday the thing that pissed me off most was how timid we were, fans and players. We've waited 25 years for this, if we go down after 38 games do it with some fight and some passion.

Heavy loss and majority of game camped in our own half. Worst possible fixture for us at the moment.

I don't think we'll be beaten that badly. Also think we might score here (albeit a consolation).
That might require having a shot instead of passing it out wide

5 4 1. Leave Awoniyi on the halfway line for set pieces instead of having everyone back. Would be nice to get a goal.

I'm going for 4-1
